Hi All...... My 08 xlv gg started bogging/missing at higher speeds ( above 30mph ) I changed the spark plugs and checked the fuel filter ( which was fine ) All seemed normal after that for about a month when the problem returned ..... My next thought is wires but thought maybe someone might know of something else ! Thanks to any who reply !

Wires cap rotor assembly. Those are all considered 100 hr service items. Not that i day it's bad at that point but it's part of the dealer 100hr service

Thanks , looks like fun to get at !! Also I just removed the K&N air filter that doesn't look very good ( 7 years is too long lol ) I think that is likely the problem .... Likely gets enough air at lower speeds but not higher speeds , I will find out !!

Yea it can be starving for air as well.
Cleaning air cleaner is the easy part.

Check for water in the fuel, did you use a stock fuel filter on it? I was working on a ski the other day that would run like crap up top and had this nasty milky white stuff on the filter. Turns out that water was getting in the fuel through a cracked fill neck and it was emulsifying which clogged the filter.
