750 IBS & 900s in rear. When I surf I'm a heavier guy so I need wake plate 100% up which makes the wave taller and has more push but it's not as long. When my wife is riding I put the wake plate at 50%. I've been playing with my auto flow settings but right now I have it at 70% and I like it. I usually roll around 10.3mph

2015 mondo with 2079 acme prop. 2300 factory ballast, ronix 400lb bag on floor all the way up, another ronix 400 bag on floor parallel to rear seat, 275lb bag on rear surf corner, 275 bag on side of rear surf corner. 2-4 friends and plate fully up with auto flow at 95% and speed at 13.5 but it has been adjusted plus 5. Sack it out, pick up a little more speed, laugh when so on dumped twice the coin on a Nautique, Tige, Malibu, or Mastercraft.

2300+400+400+275+275. Could have upgraded but it wouldnt have been enough. We start with 3650lbs before bodies. Alot of weight, corner the 275's on the surf side and enjoy. To much i the rears will not make up for load. Mondo needs center and bow weight. Put all bodies on bags and surf rear. If your serious you wont care about bags. The other tow boats run away when we come out. More lake for us!

Will get some hopefully from the quad copter this saturday. One we have we are too high from copter and need more of a side shot.

Will try to attach some before and after. I dont have picture of correctly positioned. My cell is acting up so ill try on computer later this weekend. 400lb on floor all the way up bow. 400lb on floor against rear seat. Corner our 2 x 275's on rear seat. We use 2x275 because we can move those with two guys since they are manual fill through external pump. We are split on goofy and normal rider time. The extra ballast helps only so much for wakeboarding. Surfing feel free on a 2015 with an acme 2079 and raptor to sack it out and throw bodies in rear once you have 900 to 1200 in bow and on bow floor. Add an mph plus or minus .5 and enjoy. Just need the auto flow. Not sure of the manual. The autoflow makes all the difference on ours.

I'm running 750's in the rear 750 IBS up front and an extra 400 LB under the seats behind the driver. Wakeplate up, 10.7 mph and flow down all the way... will probably just upgrade my goofy rear bag to a 900 this year and won't need the 400 under the seat any more.

goofy wave is good.... regular wave is sick!

I will most likely do the same next year but still keep the extra bags in the boat.

Placement and displacement together make for head turning rock brand "X" when you pass by them all day.

900 x 2 plus 500 plus 750 bow = 3050

we are 2300 + 400 + 400 + 275 +275 = 3650

those nights when you only have 3 buds or gals with you miss the stupid sick wake.

I wish had the 900 x 2 + 500 + 750 bow with another. 750 in the bow though is not enough. currenlty we have 500+400.

my opinion. 6-12 inches of bags to move around make all the difference from awesome to everyone stops and watches the insanity

Northern, how is the 2079 with that much weight and without it?

I have a 2015 Mondo with all stock ballast system, and manual surf gates. I had both rear and front full with opposite to surf side surf gate down, and could not for the life of me get the wake to clean up. I don't know what I am doing wrong. What kind of speeds is everyone running?

Try not filling the opposite of your surf side bag, and run 10 or a little less. That will help. Do you have the upgraded system with 650's in the rear and bow bag? I mainly surf goofy, and i run 1100 surf side, 250 non surf side and 750 or so up front, i also have autoflow and deploy it at 100% on the port side. 10 mph for me 275 lbs, a little faster for the lighter people that go out with us.

I did exactly what you said on Saturday. It worked decent, but the wake is still not big enough in my opinion.

I surfed behind another Mondo with the surf package (I think larger balasts, autoflow, etc??) and the wake was beautiful. 10 mph, all ballasts full, and puts out a perfect wake.

I am really frustrated with this.

I have a 14 mondo and here is my setup:
650's in the rear surf side full offside 1/2 full
Stock center full
Stock 400 bags : 1 in the front on the seat on the surf side and the other on the rear seat surf side
Flow down all the way (offside )
Wake plate 40-50%
11mph
Driver and spotter

Does anyone know what size the stock ballast bags are? They look pretty big, but I have no idea. They are the size of each compartment pretty much on either side in the rear, and I think its just the tank up front.

What tips do you have for fine tuning the wake in the 2014 Mondo for when it's only a driver and surfer. I have the 900# in each of the rear and a 750 IBS. Flow surf as well. My wake was amazing with about 6 people in the boat, but often during the week it's just me and a buddy. I'm more interested in a clean wake than shear size because we're both lighter guys. Thoughts?

I was hoping to not have to spend even more money, lol. I was hoping someone had some weighting tips with the current setup I have. I have the two spare 450 Fly High factory bags if it's more weight I need to add. Or if I need to just do some draining with my current setup. I prefer to have a deep, short wave rather than the height.

I believe they are Fly High I'm not to sure. I bought them from wakemakers.com

No upgraded prop yet but I will be buying a 2079 "someday"...boat won't plane out with full ballast and trying to wakeboard.

The 900# are from Straight Line and are the best fitment in a Mondo without modifying the rear lockers or blowing out your divider panels. 1100# bags are from Fly High which I believe are a tad big for the space in the Mondo.

Ok thanks I will be looking in to it I plan on upgrading real soon. I would like just replce the bags and not have to replace fittings.

All the bags are PNP...no new fittings. Literally takes less than 10 minutes to install

If you only want to do bags then you could order fly high bags and use the fittings from your factory bags.

I've spent all of 2015 upgrading my Mondo to max out the wave and finally have it dialed in. I've got an updated 900 in the left rear, a 750 IBS up front (in addition to the 500lb hard tank full), 1/4 fill on the right rear, and the surf gate at the deepest setting (#3), wake plate at 50%, and upgrade ACME 1235 prop.

But that was just an OK wave, until I added my last investment of the summer; a 500lb fat sac (using a Tsunami pump). Instantaneously I noticed my wave have more length, and had a decent push, it seemed to push my wave just over the edge to truly surfable. I was able to recover from approximately 12 feet out w/o struggle. I put the fat sac at the foot of the seats against the stern and voila!

Just thought I'd share and see if anyone else had similar results.

I just bought a Mondo over the weekend with (I think) the exact same setup as you. I assume you have the Raptor motor as well. I was wondering about your performance.... First, my throttle is very stiff, almost sticky. I have driven Malibu, MSCFT, ect and they have very light responsive throttles, mine is a workout just to move it. Do you have the same issue? Also, when ballast is full or almost full I am unable to get the boat up on plane, is that meant to be that way?

I surfed this weekend behind a 2015 Mondo (surf edition) with four in the boat, ballast full on both rear compartments and center/bow bag full. I have autoflow, moved people in boat to side the person was surfing on and switched autoflow to that side and had a big beautiful tall wake. When someone wanted to surf goofy, I moved the people to that side and flipped the switch. Both sides had tall waves that were easy to surf.

Just took out my 2015 Mondo this weekend... had the exact same problem, boat with ballast full will not plane out, just plows water... In-fact, it seemed to struggle to plane out when empty. There is such a massive bow rise in this boat even with the wake plate down. I started wondering if I can set the autoflow surf tabs to help plane out the boat and keep the bow down for starts....

WhiskeyRunner

I've had neither of those issues with my boat, my throttle isn't sticky (that just sounds wrong) and my boat planes smoothly. FYI, I upgraded my prop recently, and that will play a part as well. However, neither of those issues are typical in my book and you should consider troubleshooting. I do not have the Raptor engine, I bought a '14 just before they switched them out.

Hope that helps.

Unfortunately we took this pic just as the wind kicked up and junked up the curl of the wave, but it was running so well today that this pic doesn't do it justice. But for a 20ft boat, this is about as good as I can get it.... until I upgrade :)
