Surfboard Strap

I got a new surfboard today and don't want to put it in the wakeboard racks and get scuff marks over my new one as my old one did. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to strap the surfboard to the top of the tower?

I built one for my last boat (rack was too skinny) with a pool noodle, some electrical tape, and $32 worth of Home Depot aluminum and fence post clamps. Was a beautiful sight, and saved me a ton of cash that I used to buy a new boat (sort of)22301
