Cruise control issue

New owner to a 2008 lsv. When throttling up and reaching 35 mph the cruise light turns on and reduces boat speed to 25. The moomba cruise rocker switch is in the off position. I am able to set the switch to 10mph or other speeds and cruise works. But every time I want to go at full speed this cruise cuts in and slows the boat. Any ideas of what I am doing wrong.

I have tried things like neutral, turning off cruise resetting cruise at different speeds etc. but each and every time I am trying to go above 35mph cruise kicks in. The moomba cruise green light comes on and the boat is immediately slowed to 25mph.

Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Same issue here. Even tried unplugging the moomba cruise, and it still engages. Any help out there?

Have you noticed at what rpm it kicks in at? I think mine has done that after re-propping a couple years ago. I assume it was to prevent over revving of the engine, like a rev limiter.

Did anyone ever figure out what this was? My 2007 Outback is doing this suddenly.
