Anyone use these? I have to store my boat with the tower down so I want to buy some.

Anyone have any comments, reviews, suggestions, or alternatives? Where can I find the best deal?

Not sure what you are referring to here.

I have 4 dedicated towels. Two are rolled up and go right in the crease at the hinge and two sit on either side gunwale for the legs to rest on.

Get a couple noodle floats and cut them to size and cut a slit in them so they wrap around the tower leg. Work great and cheap

I tried the noodle trick and they were way too small. I want something a little nicer. Like trailer guide pads that velcro closed.

Will a coozie slip over the end?

Not sure what you mean by the coozie. But what I am looking for is some type of cover with foam, similar to a trailer guide pole pad, that will go around my tower leg to protect the fiberglass when in storage. Right now I have towels between the tower and deck to prevent scratches, but i want something a little nicer with some more cushioning.

Dang it! I just threw away my old pads. Would have been perfect for this job. Uggghhhh!

Does anyone have any tips or tricks to folding the old moomba towers? I hate that it folds forward. It's pretty hard to do with 2 people. I think it's mainly because of my tower speakers, which I may remove soon. I have a lot of low bridges around the lake I live on, plus my garage is not tall enough to park the boat with the tower up, so folding is uavoidable.

You could try gunnel step pads, just have to place them where the legs fold down.

Otherwise you might be stuck making your own, I know most just do that.

On my 08 LSV the legs didn't land directly on top of the gunnel, one was slightly on the edge, so I always used towels.

Yes that would be perfect. I may have to buy some new pole pads and cut them down the center and resew. But if I am going to spend $40-$50 I woudl rather find some that are made for this. Surely someone makes these!

Yes it hits on the side of the deck where it curves down to the rub rail.

I cut holes in tennis balls and put them on the ends of the legs if I need to fold mine down.

That's a good idea. This was the general idea I was trying to suggest with the koozies. Sounds like he may be looking for something for the part that folds forward.

Yes I am worried about the tower damaging the fiberglass, nothing else. Right now I have buoys holding it up off of the hull. Works okay for now but it would be nice to strap some pads around the legs then fold the tower down and not have to worry about positioning something underneath.
