Anyone out there with luck as bad as mine to have the centre windshield smash out while towing? It's curved so thinking the only way to get it replaced is through the dealer...

Nope sorry to hear that man. I tow locally all the time with it in the locked position. No issues, Towed the boat to AZ and back 3K+ miles put on it no issues.

I have seen plenty that got a rock thrown from their truck or a passing truck and broke it though.

Yea first thing I checked was that it was locked and it was. Had a duck just miss miss my windshield on vehicle and I think it must have clipped the window. What are the odds...

Nope had to get through dealer $350 with frame only way i could get it. It's on order should be a couple weeks. Not bad price considering you have to get the frame and all together just pin the new one in

Call Taylor Made Systems (http://www.taylormadesystems.com/contact.html) as they are the manufacturer of Moomba boat windshields. I had to have one of the main curved pieces replaced which was about $700 which included freight/shipping back after the repair. You should have 2 options....send them the frame (like I did) and have them install a new piece of glass or buy a whole new one which will be considerably more. You'll also need the part number when you call which should be on a sticker somewhere on the frame. Mine was under the rubber insert that hides the screws.
