Water leaking out of my new aftermarket starter of my 2003 moomba

i noticed that there is a 1/8" gap between the motor and my new marine starter and sometimes water comes out of it but not all the time. no water in the oil or any where else. anyone know what this could be?

I would not think the starter has anything to do with your cooling system. It is prob coming from somewhere else

Exactly, if you have water leaking by the starter bolts you have a much larger problem.
Only thing in that area that has water is the head gaskets. You should have over heating issues if they are leaking. You might have a leak in the fresh water intake portion, or the water pump running down the engine and visually leaking out the starter.

Get it fixed ASAP because the starter and water don't get along.
