This weekend was the annual take my nephews out on the boat weekend. It was shear chaos as always. Here we are getting ready to leave for the lake

And these 650s FILL my locker. I swear people running the same gen LSV with 1100s are only maybe gaining 700 in them!

And both those 650s full with ski locker bag full and the IBS full had the wake huge for boarding. Tons of air came effortlessly if you can wait long enough for the boat to plain out

These military ships were outside the restricted zone. to see the really big ones, we had to have a USCG escort and there was an hour queue to get the escort, so we passed.

My June started out awesome then went to hell real quick in one day but hey it's life.

Started with a trackday with beautiful weather.

Wrecked my bike at the track. Nothing to major. Cracked engine case and bent clip on.

Then on the way home from Virginia I had a blowout on my trailer. Cut a hydraulic line for my leveling system, destroyed the rim and cut the other tire. I was stuck for 19 hours while road side assistance fixed everything.

^^^^ Damn. Rough weekend. Guess the good thing is that if you're stuck on the side of the road for 19 hours, at least you can jump in the trailer, fire up the generator, watch movies, and make some grub!

Trayson if I didn't know any better I would say you were sitting in the trailer with me.

that was a hell of a rough weekend but at least you are ok. Bikes and trailer can always be fixed, glad your ok. I was just watching the Isle of Mann TT last night and all I can say is WOW! You guys on bikes have some guts!

Thanks Scott. Yeah it was a very mild crash. If I am going to crash I will take that every time. The guys who ride the Isle of Mann TT are a different bread. They are slightly insane. I would love to ride it once, just to say I did.

There is an awesome documentary on youtube call Legends of TT. Check it out. I've watched it about 10 times.

Well guys, this was the first two weekends I didn't take the boat out since I bought it. I have to say, I wasn't upset. Took my first trip to the mountains (Jackson, WY). Went with the wife and in-laws and wasn't looking forward to it until I got there. They basically had to drag me into the plane to leave. Considering a move in the near future. Also, I did miss the boat a little because there was nothing but glass on every lake.

Love the PNW scenery, just a bit windy/rough for much of anything besides chilling and tubing.

We launched as Berg was taking his boat out. It was windy and had serious whitecaps. So bad that we couldn't go more than 15mph without getting pounded. So we went through the no wake zone instead, but even that was rougher than i'd want to ride behind the boat in. We got to our normal "spot" and again whitecaps. so I dropped anchor and was gonna wait it out. a couple minutes after dropping anchor, a buddy that had been out all day came by and said that just 5 minutes away where the Willamette River joins the Columbia it was WAYYYY smoother, like about smooth enough to wakeboard.

We got the wife back on a surfboard for the first time since 2013 (she had to take all of 2014 off for her full ACL reconstruction). so that was awesome. and the water was good enough that not only did we all have a blast surfing, but my buddy and I each took wakeboard sets. and going from the Columbia River to the Willamette, meant the water jumped from 61 to around 69 degrees. Awesome!

When we finished, we rounded the corner and got back into the main Columbia River channel and it was rough for the ride home. So that day is was all about knowing WHERE to ride. that extra 5 minutes was like going to a completely different day it was so different.

This is what we got to play on all night, with literally whitecaps around the corner.

It's hard to think that it has been at least 18' to the bottom of this bridge for a long time. When the lake is at full pool, it is probably 13' to the bottom, now it looks like it's only about a foot.

Normally we have to motor under this to get to our favorite spot. I just hope we get ramps back open soon.

We steered clear. Our friends got roped in thinking that was our transfer agent. What a treat. 2 shots of tequila later they finally figured out they were being sold.

Yes, but that part has been the same for at least the last 22 years :-) The city has changed a lot in that time though. The furthest I make it past the airport now is to Costco. Most of our time is now spent in the La Cruz/Bucerias area.

Nice video, I like how you are mounting the rope to the tower like we do. We have been doing that for 5 years. So much easier and nicer then center on the tower.

Thanks Mike, we tower mount if we have beginner riders because it is easier to get them into the face of the wake without having to cross over the crest. That seems to be difficult for most beginners. I actually saw a video of you guys putting the rope on the tower, so thank you for the idea.

you are bang on my friend!! Fintry is a dream ... water is always perfect up there. I live in Kelowna so other than dealing with Westside road its a pretty quick drive.

Whereabouts did u live in the Ok?

And my son tried wakesurfing for the first time. he popped right up (but only for an instant). I was happy that he was wanting to try, because he hasn't been willing to for the last two seasons. he's SO much more comfortable in the water now, it's awesome.

I grew up in Oyama right between Woods & Kal Lake. Was an amazing place to grow up as a kid before the population boom out there. My bro lives in Kelowna and my sister is still in Oyama. I have camped and scuba dived the Fintry Barge out there many times. Yup it's a sweet spot!

Finally got my first ski of the summer! it was Mt Elbert from 14,433' snow is getting a little soft, but it is the end of June. maybe sometime i will get a pic behind the moomba, so far 3 tanks of gas gone.

my line off the summit can just be seen off the picture left, then a short boot to the right, then the final line was down the chute than ends on the left. the two chutes on the right were too steep (40+) and unstable, I was skiing slides as it was.

Took my friend and his 4 kids out on Thursday. It's quite a treat for his family of 6 to be invited on a boat. They had a fantastic time. His daughter was struggling trying to surf, so I took her out doubles surfing. Freeriding with an 11 year old girl on your board takes a lot of concentration!

Also, my son has gotten a TON more comfortable in the water and has decided he wants to try surfing. He's been doing pretty good getting up, but even our 4'8" board is a bit too big for him to muscle around (he's only 55 pounds).

It was super easy for anyone. All the kids could do it no problem.

But it's really just a kneeboard with grab handles and a holder for the special rope handle. It has surf traction down the base. In theory a person can ride it standing but I couldn't really pull it off without super smooth water. It really needs a fin to ride standing up. I was able to get up on the Zup surf style pretty easy though. But again, no fin So it was squirrley.

It's cool as a glorified kneeboard Basically.
