Warning* wall of text.

I decided my next mod to the boat will likely be adding some weight now that I've got the engine running well *knocks on wood* and the sound system fixed. I need opinions on weighting for a clean, crisp wakeboarding wake. I've yet to venture into surfing, going to save that till next year. All I have now is the 400LB ski locker bag. The wake is finicky and tends to wash over if people aren't distributed perfectly in the boat. From the research I've done I came up with 2 800LB rear bags and either 2 Fly High bags (260LB each) or a Sumo hidden bow bag (500LB) to hide inside the bow compartments. Does anyone know if the 2 Fly High bags will fit under my bow seats? I'd rather save $70 and go with them over the Sumo. Links are below for reference.

My main question is will this improve my wake? I'd like to buy the bow bags now b/c I've been told I need more forward weight to clean the wake up. Could I run the bow bags without the rear bags? I'm worried about my bow dipping below the water with too much forward weight. I usually ride with 3-8 people in the back of the boat plus my Yeti.

*knocks on wood*

remember, there isn't any wood in your boat!

I'm not touching that one. Just too easy.

if I were buying ballast bags I would get the sumo's, so much easier to work with

I only have one of the Sumo but it is a really nice bag.

Your boat wont like that much weight with the stock prop! Ask me how I know.

With 400's in the rear lockers, 400 in the center and 300 fixed weight in the nose my wake is more than enough for us. Swapped 1 of the 400's for a 750 for surfing but when boarding we just fill it until the 400 in the other locker is full. You will definitely need to upgrade your prop if you have the stock 13.7 x 17.5.

Ok, thanks for the info! I think I'll wait and make this a winter project, especially if I need a new prop.

I have 750s in the rear and wish I would have gotten the 1100s.

Hey cornrickey what year boat do you have? Must be 06 or newer because 1100s will not fit in 05 or older or will they? thanks
