I have a UFP Zinc plated DB-35 brake caliper that I took off my trailer because it was stuck and dragging on my rotor. Rather than attempt to rebuild it, I just pulled it off and got a new one.

So I've got this caliper with lots of brake pad left and it's free to anyone local or if you want to cover the shipping (I get cheap prices on fedex ground) I'll be happy to ship it to you.

Just figured I'd see if anyone wanted to do a rebuild and have it for a spare or whatever before I chucked it in the trash. The new one cost me a little over $70 shipped, so there's maybe some value in this used one if you have time/motivation.

Also, per the manual on my new DB-35, any parts you might need to rebuild this can be sourced by asking for 1997 - 2000 Kia Sephia parts. I also have a parts diagram of the caliper and all the related pieces with part numbers should you want that...

I've rebuilt one, bought the materials and tried it to see. Don't waste your time or money on a rebuild, just buy the new ones. It's really difficult to get the piston to move freely after the boots wear out and the piston gets pitted down inside the cylinder wall. The corrosion is the reason they were sticking to begin with. If anyone wants to try it I'll give you the proper seals. You'll need some tools to get the caliper pistons out and a pump or piston puller and a large c-clamp to press back in. Like I said buy new ones

Why do you guys think I just threw down and bought a new one???

However, before throwing it in the trash, I figured I'd offer it up in case someone had a different outlook. There are some boaters out there that have more time than money...

I will give 100% of your purchase price back to you (not including shipping) if you are not satisfied. This warranty will be honored for as long as Kane is a beer drinker.
