Raw water open position - which way

So just pulling my mondo out to get it ready for the season. Being my first inboard what direction does the raw water valve handle need to be so it is open. Was winterized by dealer but want to be sure I've got right.

typically when the handle is in line and pointing the way the water is flowing, then it's open.
