I installed my cargo nets onto the rear locker lids. I keep my wakeboard rope in one and my surf rope in the other. The little ones are good for gloves and stuff like that.

I have one net left that I want to put on the gunwale wall above my driver's cupholders. I need some good ideas on how to attach the bungee netting to that wall. I can certainly affix the bottom loops to the cupholder box. But I have to figure out how to attach the top loops. The fiberglass is TOO THIN there to use screws.

Me too. Home Depot was the best price, even over Amazon.

The screws on the small ones are short. I pressed on the vinyl and couldn't feel a poke. The mediums came with longer screws and I didn't use those.

Thanks I ordered a small and medium. Not sure when they'll get here.

Exactly.

As for the nets, I got mine on Amazon and it was only $5 more then Home Depot and delivered to my door. In the country where i live thats cheaper then driving 40 minutes each way to HD lol.

Trayson the only safe way to mount in the drivers helm in that location is the Rub Rail, or glue blocks and screw into the blocks.

I would be caution using too many cargo nets, it seems like its just a magnet for random crap to be stored lol. This was one consideration when we built our home, I didn't want too much storage because thats just more places to put junk you should be throwing away lol.

Funny you say that Mike, I'd say half the houses should not have a garage, if your car won't fit, you have to much crap

I agree this is why my boat and Vette fit in the garage. Not much room left for other things after that LOL.

Well, I have a basic 3 car garage and it was used for the BMW, the Audi, the sportbike and the Jeep. I agree, garages are meant for vehicles.

i've been thinking, what about a cargo net behind the swing out seat cushion on the passenger side? keep a few things off the ground.

Mine covers the whole rear compartments and drops down to the height of the rear ballast full. It keeps vest towels of the bags so they dry faster and dont get pinned when we fill the ballast. Also u dont have to reach to the bottom to grab stuff when ballast is empty. I have one side mounted so that i can unhook so if i need full compartment i can use it

I put a small one on the bottom of my observer seat/compartment. It flips up so when in up position it is right side up. Not much room but it works well there. I'll try and snap a picture this weekend.

I put one there to store our assortment of gloves -- very convenient.

I like this idea! I am adding 2 to my rear cargo doors, but might need to add one here too.

SMALL and had to mount it low so it would clear the base. Wouldn't have that problem on a side open seat back!!

this won't work with the EZ Net ones. I just got a small and a medium to see what they are like.. they need 15" and the seat cushion is only about 16" tall..

edit: on a LSV

Not full all the time. Useful to keep stuff off the ground when everything's wet at the dock.

Reply to an old thread. I ended up putting my "extra" cargo net above the driver's cup holders. It just holds little things like Coozies or maybe a beanie to keep my head warm on cool days. I "screwed" them into the carpet on the top using the things that you'd use to anchor floormats to your car's carpet and into the cupholder wood on the bottom.

I also put one on the back of the swing out observer back door. And I put a final one on the bottom of the starboard seat cushion. It holds disposable sunglasses and cozies right now.

You can never have too much storage or organization available.

There's options still out there. Walmart has some bungee cargo nets and so does Amazon. You just have to look around.

My shocks are kinda tired anyway. It's on my list to replace them, but I haven't gotten around to it... If your shocks are older and tired like mine, they aren't going to be any happier with the extra stuff in them. On my starboard locker, I carry a wakeboard line/handle, as well as an assortment of ski/wakeboard gloves. On the Port side, I carry the surf rope in one, and an assortment of dock lines with carabiners in the other. So not a TON of weight, but definitely enough that I have to be careful of the lids coming down. When they're vertical, it's not too much of an issue, but I do need to replace the shocks.

Yeah, the stock shocks aren't really equipped to handle a lot of extra weight.....on my '13 OBV I only carry ropes and handles in the rear lockers and they rarely stay in the open position without some assistance.
