Took my boat out today for the first time since my upgrades (1100's rear full 400 ski locker full and 750 IBS full). I felt lily the pocket was waaaay better but I felt like the lip was flat (don't be nasty). Ideas? http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04/26/ba791d82259b8d12f1d055e40c10ae19.jpg

Was your wake plate all the way up? Have you GPS calibrated your speedometer, and how fast were you going? Did you have both 1100s all the way full?

Wake plate up. Only surf side was full. Haven't checked speedo but we play with speeds a lot. It's like it would have a great curl for a few seconds then flatten out.

Next trip try filling just the rear surf side 1100 first and get the wave/speed set up. Once you've got that set try adding a few hundred in the opposite corner along with the rest of the weight.

How deep is it, if its less than 10 feet that can happen

40-50 feet deep

Something's not making sense. Double check speed and get some fat friends to sit on the surf side.

I agree - something is wrong. My OBV with stock 400lb ballast in the rear puts out a larger wave than what is shown in the photo.

as mentioned speed is a huge factor. Were there any people sitting on the starboard side other than the driver?

Is there any way you can hook up with one of the other Texas guys to help you out?

only one guy sitting on back surf side. yeah im lost too, my set up last year (less weight and no IBS) seem to give me a more crisp lip to the wave. ill continue to play with it and see what happens. i know i have everything to make a good wave.

whats your weight up front? middle bag full too?

edit: was in OP

well,, maybe too much front weight? definitely check the wakeplate and speed.

If you looking to get the lip taller, as in more ramp if you wanted to work a jump the only way to really get that is less weight in the front, more on the surf side. You need to roll the boat over more.

Rear weight makes wave Steep short
Front makes the lower and longer
Even weight makes the Lip Flatter but ramp shorter
Heavy Surf side weight makes the Lip Taller

For most people your wave is money, its perfect to surf in, do 180s, 360, shuve its, and several other tricks.

If you want to catch air though you need a little more ramp, steepness to the wave. Only way I can say to get that is less front end weight. You need to dig the rear of the boat down more.

Also are you running any offside weight? <port?> I used to run 1100 on surf and about 4-500 Surf side, this will sink the rear of the boat deeper in the water.

I'm not running any weight on goofy side. So don't fill up 750ibs?

Yes, exactly.

I feel like a jackass but I'm pretty sure I figured out what was going on with my wake. With the new upgrades I was totally focused on getting that set up that I guess I didn't check the wake plate (witch is up 99% of the time). So I drove out to check on my boat Monday looked at it.... ALL THE WAY DOWN! Haven't been able to take it out again but I'll snap some picks when I do. Thanks for all the help.

Hopefully that is the issue and you can post some awesome wave pics after your next trip out. Good luck!

Yea, baby. Show us some pics of that sweet wave with the plate up most of the way and the rippers hacking up the lip up top. Let's see 'em now.
