Anyone have a preference of which manufacturer flax to use? I believe the it's a 1" shaft. Also, it direct drive, not v-drive. Thanks.

Most of us have a dripless seal like the ones here:

If you don't want to switch to dripless you can call skidim and they will advise you of exactly what you need. They are extremely helpful.

Graphite cord is what I used 13 years ago. Tightened the gland nut once since then and no drips. Since then, there have been some variations using some other materials. Wax cord degrades over time.
