They fit perfect and were easy to install. Well worth $60

I've thought about these, but it's hard enough on my 4 decade old knees crawling around on the HDPE when I've got them folded down and I'm doing stuff like oil changes or winterization. I think it'd be even more uncomfortable with the metal braces there, crawling on those...

No in the older boats they are screwed into the floor.
The difference also is in the older boats the panels aren't as tall, so they open and fold flat on the floor.

I unscrewed mine to put them in, just be careful that you install them so the panels will fit back in. I didn't first time

Thanks, I was thinking about that after I took the picture today. I am going to slide them down where they fit and mark the location before I pull the panels out.

I'm at a loss as to what this mod did? just reinforce the panels for the weight of the bags against them?

The newer panels are like 1/2" or so starboard material and are taller vs some of the older boats, when you put bigger bags in the locker the weight of the bulging bag bows the door, the weight will eventually cause the door to cave and touch the motor. The material is just too flexible to hold, these aluminum pieces add strength and stop the panel from bowing.

Thanks. That's what I figured.

I use one almost like that. I also just used a wood pole last year. It got a bit of mildewed last year dueing some rainy weeks when the oat was outside. I figure its time for an upgrade to version 2.0
