View Full Version : 750IBS to small?

Installed my 750IBS this weekend on my Mondo & I had to really stretch it to connect both fill lines on each side. The bag is crooked trying to get it to fit. My stock 500lb bag looked and felt bigger. It's almost like my rear fill lines needed to be extended. Should my bag look like this?

Brett, can you take a pic of the inlet points? I think you had mentioned in the bimini thread you boat is not where you are, but if you get a chance that would be great. I have the 750 on the way and if it isn't goint to work right i am going to look for another way to add a couple hundred pounds to the front.

Both fill lines? Are you filling on both legs? Havnt seen that before. Normally fill through the starboard leg and vent at the top.

you can skip the Bosworth valve, but plumbing should pretty well match this for the IBS.

I will next time I'm out.

Not sure if one is vent and one is fill. But Spencer at a WakeMAKERS had no clue they had 3. He was going to contact Skiers. Voice about it.

Nice write up, I wonder if that tube sac would fit in my mondo?

Maybe people complained that the bag wasn't emptied all the way in one of the legs, that would help, as well as making sure the hard tank is 100% filled no matter how the boat is sitting in the water (air pocket), just guessing.

Mark do you have one on each side?

Since the factory doesn't include check valves, this makes sense for getting the majority of the water out of the bags. I think all of us that have added an IBS have used the simpler method of a single fill/drain w/ a check valve to ensure the bag drains.

Not sure, mine should be started in the next couple weeks, ill let you know for sure if this isnt resolved by then. I had the same bag on order, but was able to cancel for now at least.

Just trying to get my ducks in a row before arrival as i will have somewhat limited time to break it in and dial it in before our annual trip to a lake in TN for a week starting at the end of June.

I confirmed that the 2015 surf edition boats are set up as follows:

The hard tank has a front vent that overflows to a fitting on the port side of the IBS. The hard tank also has a vent in the back of the tank that overflows and fills the fitting on the starboard side of the IBS. The reason for the (2) lines is to aid in the draining of the IBS since check valves are not used.

The IBS has a vent line running from the top of the bag out in front of the driver on the starboard side.

So we couldnt add a check valve to the IBS then?

Thanks Drew.

Brett anyway to easily lengthen the hose to eliminate the issue? I added length to the hoses on my 21V to reach the top of my 750 bags, it was super easy, the only thing i would do different is get the stock clamps or shrink wrap the worm clamps to make a cleaner install.

I would think not, it is a PD pump and once the bag is sucked dry it will try and callapse the tank.

Yes, when I decide to order my port side tube sac I will order 2 of these for each side...

That way I can add maybe 6-12" of hose on each side to bring the bag up to the nose.

I guess that's why they have 2 lines on the 15' but you still will have left over water in the hard tank

Hey Drew,
On your tube sack, what was the reason to "T" off before the 1100 bag and go to the tube sack? Couldn't you just hook each bag together and vent each bag to the TH? Then the overflow of the 1100 would fill the tube...just like the hard tank and IBS.

If your way is the correct way then I will do that but I'm just curious of the reasoning?

Thanks!

I don't think you will get the tube sac to drain if you simply link them together.

A check valve will not help with the hard tank. You will never get all the water out unless the boat is sitting or riding with the bow a lot higher than the stern. I always get the rest of the water out of my tank when the boat is on the trailer at the boat ramp.
