I know their are lots of posts on how to get the best goofy wave by adding weight etc. I am wondering if anyone can help with the best stock OEM setup for a 2014 Mojo with flow surf. Going to demo a new 2014 Mojo and want to fill the ballast to get the best goofy weight possible with just the standard ballast. Would it be best to fill all three tanks or just the front and surf side? Also what flow setting would be best? Would like to get the best goofy surf demo experience possible with the stock setup.

The setup that should lend you to the best demo would be.
Front Hard tank full, If they have IBS fill that.
Fill Just goofy Side.
If its Manual Flow then set it to 2 or 3 clicks down.
Speed generally right at 10
If its Auto Flow then try weighting the entire surf system. That's how its designed.
If it won't clean up then drain the Regular side until it does.
The whole goal is to have a Clean wave, and to get that on Goofy you generally have to roll the boat over to a classic lean. Running it level has never worked for a clean goofy wave on our Mojo.
The goal is to get a clean dark looking wave, the more white wash in your wave the slower it will be.

Thank you that is exactly what I was looking for. It is a new 2014 so no IBS and it has the manual Flow Surf tabs. Where should the trim be set?

You need an IBS. The wakeplate needs to be 100% up or close to that. I found that on the Mojo, the 2nd position worked better when loaded with 1,100's.

If I get the boat I plan on getting the IBS! Your girls both surf regular right? Does anyone in the family surf goofy? What is the best setup for goofy? I plan on getting the IBS and bigger bags from Wakemakers. Which size and what setup would you recommend? I'd like to keep everything hidden.

The goofy posts are
1500 goofy
500 hard tank
650 IBS
450 on bow seat drivers side.
No 450 just makes the wave a bit shorter.

I have a 14 Mondo and I am planning to do 750 under the front seats and 900 in the rear lockers. I am in the break in process and will let you know when it is installed if you don't beat me to that point.
If you get the Mondo, you will have to post some pictures.

When you say 1500 goofy I assume that is all on the goofy side. What type of configuration? The 1100 in the locker then an extra 400 on the bench/floor? Or can that be hidden?
How much do you weigh down the opposite side locker?
What flow setting or is that too much weight for the flow?
Thanks for all your help and sorry for the newb questions, I have only ever surfed a Nautique 226 which has a prop that turns the opposite direction making goofy easier.

Matt sounds great please let me know how it goes! Out of curiosity what all are you doing for your break-in?

I run the Enzo 1500 bag. No bags on the seats other than bow 450 drivers side.
Flow on 2
No offset weight.
I have found the best goofy wave by weighting one side traditionally and using flow.
Boat does not like offside weight due to prop rotation

First hr keep below 2k rpm second hr keep below 3k rpm next 5 below 4k rpm. While not carrying a heavy load.

Is that what the manual recommends or are you doing your own thing?

I am following the manual. The Indmar manual say to strecth out under 4k rpm until 10 hrs and to vary rpm and not to run at the same rpm for a long period of time.
I am under the assumption per the manual that I should not load up ballast until I have reached 10 hrs. This is my first new boat so I am learning. Prior to this had an 01 x30.

That's the way to do it. It's painful.

Here's my first try at posting a video. Just got my Wakemakers ballast package installed. I was pretty happy with the wave but it could always use more push and length. Would love some suggestions for tweaking the wave. Here is my setup in this video.
IBS 750 (not sure if it was full, cup holders didn't pop out.
Center Stock Tank 500 (Full)
Surf Side Locker 1100 (Full)
Port Side Locker 1100 (70% Full)
Wake Plate 100% up
Flow Surf Setting 2
Speed 10.1 according to digital speedometer.
3 Adults in the back on surf side including the driver.
4 small kids in the back mostly on surf side.

That is a pretty solid Goofy Wave man. I have not been able to get mine to clean up with running off set weight for goofy.
Only way to make it longer is more weight in the nose, or mid ship. This is why we run the 1500 on Starboard so we can get more weight, plus the 450 bow seats.

Thanks Mike, I'm thinking about using the stock 650 I replaced up front in the walkway for more weight in the bow. I had quite a bit of weight offsetting in the port locker would less offset weight create a steeper wave you think?

If you run something in the Bow it will need to be on the seats, I tried walkway and it just makes the boat want to flatten out more. Less weight in the offside will make the wave a little cleaner on the top, allows you to use more of the wave and start doing tricks off it later.
Less weight in the rear should lessen the wave, but you are on setting 2 of the Flow, setting 3 will make it taller but slightly shorter.
You will have to experiment with your offset weight more.
You have me wanting to run offset weight now to see if it will work LOL. I already have a lot of dead weight on my port thought with batteries, amps, and some steel shot though.

What do you think about speed? I was at 10.1 how fast do you go normally? More speed should lengthen it a bit right? I see all these other boats running 11mph plus when surfing.
