I see the new Moombas have traction pads on the sides when you step up. Where can I buy the personalized Moomba ones?

from a dealer. you can try Atlanta Marine if you don't have one local, but be warned that the top cap changed on the LSV in 2013 and I'm not sure what they have will fit on your boat w/out modification.

Only from the Dealers.

Atlanta Marine has drained quite of bit of money from me since I've bought my boat haha

Dang, those would look GREAT on my '14 LSV, but my rear cleats are on the top of the gunwale so I would either have to move the cleat to the side or cut the traction strip to fit around it .... Maybe SC will make a set for earlier model years as a retrofit option??

Great idea that will never happen.

It's not SC, it would be the 3rd party mfg that probably would decide it's not cost effective to make a new pattern and/or tooling for a few folks on a forum that say they are interested.

but history has shown that one Moomba forumite can pick up the torch and run with it - making it possible

One of the upgrades I wanted this year was the traction pads. I will be dropping my boat off tomorrow at AWS for a little touch up on 2 hair line cracks.

I am going to look into seeing if these will in fact fit my boat from the 15 Mojos.

I have no problem drilling some holes in the sides to move my cleats lol.

It would look a lot better if you drilled new holes and moved your cleats to the side.

Or just make a template and have SeaDek custom cut them.

Now we're cookin' with gas .... that's a great idea. A custom-cut Moomba logo for the gunwales of our pre-2015 models. Has anyone done a custom job with SeaDek before? Can they take a standard logo and cut in into an appropriatley-sized gunwale pad? I smell a group buy and a win/win for SeaDek and us

Frankly, I wouldn't waste my time with SeaDek. Ian is about the only one who recently has had any success with a custom order and they haven't been willing to put together group buys for this forum in years.

It must be because I'm awesome!

All 4 custom cuts I've had made came quick and beautiful. That said, I've spent like $1,500 or something crazy between the 2 boats, but IMO well worth it.

I have some template material, maybe I'll draw up the OBV templates and see what I can get :)

You might try gatorstep for custom work. I see alot of manufacturers are going to that vendor for non-slip products. Not sure if they do consumer direct business or custom work?

I've used Seadek in the past WITH success. I really had a great experience and like their product. But from rumblings as of late I would shop around if in need!

All it takes is a nice note to the right guy.

Is there any interest in a Seadek group buy?

I followed in Ian's footsteps on the walkthru pad for my OBV and even got myself and a couple of others a small discount dealing with the SeaDek guy Ian hooked me up with so my experience with them was pretty good.

Really guys!? Why should you have to ask "pretty please" and get a bunch of customers together to pay way too much on behalf of a company who has demonstrated time and time again that they don't give a hoot about the individual customer?

Stay away from SeaDek. Keep your money and your sanity.

I emailed Seadek last week to see about a small one for my 07 LSV. I asked for a quote for 2.5 inch X 42 inch strip. This was the response:

Hello Scott,

Thank you for your interest in SeaDek. Please see the quote you requested based on your dimensions below. Our lead time right now for custom orders is 4 weeks.

(1) @ 2.5“ X 42“ - $419.00.00 in our 6MM material.

Please note, this quote does not include sales tax or freight charges. Pricing is determined by the material used. If you would like to place an order, feel free to contact our customer service department on the number below at your convenience and we would be happy to help you.

$419 for a strip that is 2.5 inches y 42 inches???????? Unbelievable! I ended up finding something simple from Agenda Surf for less than $30 that should be here next week.

Moved my cleats and cut my own step pads from hydroturf this winter....the cleats were an easy moveverything and I feel in a better spot now.
