All this Hydro-Turf talk got me thinking, I have to replace the carpet on my trailer bunks this year, could I use Hydro-turf instead? Has anyone done this? Pictures? Results? Thoughts?

I'm thinking it would peel up a lot easier than carpet would when you come sliding on? At least towards the front bunks. It is is meant to give grip after all. Maybe if you only float on it would be ok.

You'll tear it and it's not going to stick to wood very well

Sticking is not a problem b/c you could staple the back side like you would with carpet. I do think it would tear more easily though so I would not use it. I might just recycle my matted down old carpet as bunk carpet (it will be color matched to the boat :) ).

Be the first to try out the Snaptraxx bunk covers and report back!!
You'll get some "bling points"

I've heard the snap traxx are "too slick". sometimes you want a little tension/resistance between the bunks and the hull. Just my opinion. Especially after seeing a guy with an I/O slide halfway off his trailer because they forgot to click the gear to locked on the bow winch...
