I'm trying to find out what brand of transducer (or the manufacturer of my depth gauge) that's on my 2008 XLV. Actually, I'm most interested in the FREQUENCY that the transducer operates on.
The transducer is separate from the paddlewheel that does speed/temp for my perfect pass. It appears to be an in hull transducer, but there's no markings on it and I can't find anything like it searching on the internet.
The reason I want to know is because I bought a new Faria depth/temp gauge and when I spoke to tech support at Faria, they confirmed that I'll be able to tap into the temp sensor on the paddlewheel, and IF the depth gauge operates at or near the 235 kHz frequency, then I can just use the existing transducer and not have to mount a new one or make a run of wire. Quick and easy!!!
Here are the pics of the transducer in my boat:

and I found this tag in the bilge. I don't know if it has anything to do with the transducer, but here's a pic just in case:

And my depth gauge looks like this one, except in black.

Again, I can't find anything online that's similar. If I could, that would allow me to determine the frequency of the transducer and if it's going to be compatible with my new Faria gauge.
