Does any one have any experience with the Ronix 8.3 bags and pump?

Would you consider worth the extra price assuming the fill and drain times are as claimed?

Are you talking about the ones with the telescoping popup or just plain janes?

If you're using them on top of seats or floors a possible benefit is they have a trapezoid type design so they are less likely to want to roll over or roll off.

I haven't had much luck getting a 400lb Fly High bag back up on the seats after it's rolled onto the floor without draining first...

Both the bags and the pumps are bad to the bone. The trapezoid shape does work but could still be improved upon IMO. The pumps, IMO there are none better. They move so much water it's ridiculous.

Lol.... You are correct, that would be a 2015 Axis A22. That boat is not mine but I do not have a Moomba anymore. I now have a 2015 A22.

agreed they are worth the price. i can fill their 800lb telescoping sack in ~2.5 minutes, real-world timed with the 3700gph pump. not sure why they sell a 3000gph pump for $10 less...who would buy that??

i had one issue with my pump and that was that the hose tore in the first season of use. i called them up and they sent one to me for free by the end of the week. good customer service, and hopefully they improved the hoses on the new ones by now.

forgot to mention, if you have an older boat (1988 supra here) with inferior dash wiring to your 12v adapter, the pump will trip the breaker on your adapter often because it draws 20-25A IIRC. for what it's worth, my 1200gph sumo pump did the same thing, just not as often. i bought an $8 12v adapter from cabelas for my boat and wired it with 8 gauge wire directly to the battery (even though it says it's only rated for 15A), about a 1' wire run. haven't had a problem since. obviously there's no breaker in play with this setup. the socket for the pump(s) get hot to the touch after filling a bag, but i've never had an issue with the wire melting or anything weird like that. hope that helps.

I have one, big upgrade from tsunami pump. Downside is the pump and hose take up so much space
