So for a quick reference, are all these different surf tabs, actuators , plates,gates and flow systems are all deployed on the side you are not surfing on? Or are some deployed on the surf side ?

All that I know of are on the non surf side. Either delaying convergence or creating lift on the non surf side.

Is this the same for the flow and the nss

The Flow and NSS are interesting in that they could be causing lift and delayed convergence. Both deployed on non surf side.

I found these Volvo QL trim tabs and they remind me of the NSS in concept. They have a blade that extends downward to create lift on that side. The bottom portion of the NSS would do the same while the side portion would be delaying convergence and possibly causing the boat to dog track a bit further delaying convergence.
