Going to buy or order new bumpers for OBV this weekend. First wake boat, so any suggestions on brand/style that work best? Any good deals out there?

I think I remember someone saying they found some on eBay -- if you can find them there that would probably be your best deal.

Brian's Balls. :o

The regular bumpers are not very good for a tie up with other boats or docks that have posts sticking up because the boards in your racks can contact the other boat or the dock posts. Hoppity hops (link to pic below) work great and you can order them or get them at Toys R Us. Brian at Exile also has some very nice balls available. (see thread link below with info).

Wonder if Brian would be interested in doing another group buy? I need to pick up a couple more for this season.

Here is another option ... http://www.hopballs.com/family-packs/

Thanks! Exiles definitely look better, but at $10 each the transparent hop balls would work. We have a pontoon as well and it tore the heck out of our runabout last year while tied up on 4th weekend.

I have the exile bouy balls and wouldn't go with anything else. They literally saved my boat's gelcoat from getting mashed on the dock when all the ignorant jackweeds were proving that they don't know what a "no wake" zone is the weekend before the 4th of July. My boat was rocking so hard that I can guarantee that if I had traditional fenders, I would have been smashing...

This was taken from a wakeworld thread on the subject:

The Exile balls are built at the same place as the Disney ones. We modified them a bit to work with boats a better. They are 7mill thicker, and 2" bigger. We went to a thicker sidewall a few years back when we saw people popping the disney ones.

all in all, any of these hip balls will work good and not scuff your boat.

KG GREAT find!
I have the exile balls too but if I'd have known about the transparent hop balls in your link I would have gone that route a month ago when I ordered a couple more!

Some of those Chinese ones will scratch your gel coat.

I asked Brian about a Group Buy on the Exile buoy ball fenders. He agreed to provide an immediate code that will last through the weekend for anyone who wants $5 off of his. Please PM me for the code. I'll also post a group buy thread on this.
