Well, let's see. How good are you at playing the banjo?

A lot of great people from all over last year. Certainly don't be afraid of going alone.

Not to many of us surfers from Central Florida read the Moomba forums. I'd be surprised if you get a response. If you really are looking for someone who is going up, you might want to try the wakeworld forums.

Having a surf day of our own in Orlando or on the Clermont chain of lakes is always do-able.

If you're debating on coming to this event, I suggest that you register soon as the response has been fantastic and we are down to 1/2 dz open spots. We have folks traveling in from all over (except the PNW) and 1/3 of the folks registered are current Skier's Choice boat owners.

02-23-2015, 10:42 AM
Ya that's a trek for some of us :(

02-23-2015, 01:52 PM
I know. You have a great opportunity to join Robert Garcia and the wake9 crew who do an awesome job with their event which is a bit closer for you.

It was a tough decision, Surfest in May or a week of senoritas and margaritas in Puerto Vallarta in June....

02-23-2015, 02:08 PM
sweet! maybe you'll see Isaac & gopher while you're there, too!

Headed there in 16 days, 2 hours & 31 minutes for our annual trip - not that I'm counting

02-23-2015, 03:12 PM
Yeah, it's going to be a long 126 days, 20 hours and 33, 32, 21.... minutes

03-18-2015, 11:08 AM
I pitched this to my fiancÚ instead of going to Mexico and getting married... didn't go over too well, might be sleeping on the boat for a while!

03-18-2015, 12:15 PM
We'll let you sleep on the boat of your choice at the event!

You didn't ease into it first with gifts and compliments?

Those that didn't make it Surfest are really missing a great time!!! The boards, boats, and friends have made this weekend a hit... Nick and Casey where shredding the water yesterday along with 40 other riders... The new Supra is amazing, awesome, and the talk of the Surfest at dinner!!!

05-03-2015, 10:01 PM
Thanks to all that came out to the event this weekend!

I hope you all had a great time.

05-03-2015, 10:17 PM

05-04-2015, 05:31 AM
I had a great time as well. I even got to ride in Drew's new boat after the event Supra got a little too close to the bank and received a damaged prop :(. It's a sweet ride Drew!!!

Event was a great experience! We were able to ride 10 different 2015 boats ... Each boat having 8 different surf boards available to ride.

I've got a couple pics from the phone but we were too busy riding to take many ...

Supra SE

A trick I don't know the name of but it was cool ....

One of the fan favorites, of course ...

The (upstate) New York forum guys I shared the boats with were awesome!

I also wanted to give a quick shout out to all those who put together a first class event. You guys really know how to put on an event. I'm sure I'll miss a few names but special thanks go out to Scott, Jim, Drew, Kevin, and all of their families for being such great hosts. Had a blast meeting everyone, specifically our forum members on here. Already looking forward to next year. I think I was officially recovered Wednesday-ish. I'm old.

THANKS to all that attended and glad to read all of the nice comments and compliments. I'm not sure I have fully recovered. We're compiling all of the boat and board data now and hope to have a recap posted on southernsurfest.com by the end of next week.

There are more pics from participants on the Southern Surfest facebook page, but here are two of JJ flying thru the GA sky. We had a great weekend of weather!

She looks like a pro. Hey, wait a minute . . .

05-08-2015, 02:54 PM
the Wolfe girls made it look easy!! we made Taylor get in and ride against her will... rode too big of a board and my comp vest looked like a dress on her, but she still tore it up behind the Supra SE 550 .

05-08-2015, 10:33 PM
Love those girls. I haven't seen them ride in a couple of years (other than on video). Gonna rectify that this season.

05-15-2015, 10:52 AM
Any word on when the reviews will be posted?

Facebook is blocked at work. Updating the website would be nice. I should really yell at my IT guy for getting in the way of me looking up boating stuff at work. Only problem is I know him really well and just to piss me off he would block the forms.
