We are boat shopping and I'm looking to compare some boats and can't seem to find a good reference for the outback V and it's changes over the years. I've gathered a new hull debuted in 2009 but has anything else changed besides the tower since then up to 2015?

Thanks for any help!

I think in 13 is when they went to the new Higher top deck and redid the interior.
14 I think they added a larger color palate to the options on the interior.

No change in deck or hull since 2010. The only major changes since 2009 were the tower and the swim deck.

Thanks for the replies guys. I wasn't seeing any major changes since 2009 with the exception of the tower in 2012 I think and the 'surf' platform in 2013. If this is the case and the hull is the same as the 2015 on a 2011 what would stop me from purchasing a 2011 and buying the flow surf things to add to it myself since 2015 has them. Just considering some options.

It seems that just adding the Flow (manual version) DIY was enough to void the hull warranty, so I'm guessing that would be the same with the Auto Flow. I think one of Mike's earlier posts also alluded to changes to the computer and/or software also needed which could inflate the cost to the $3-5K range.

Interesting...I'll have to check into this more but I guess I don't how they can claim this if they are offering it for the 2006+ LSV's as an add-on. I'd even be willing to pay for the dealer install upcharge if it was reasonable and allowed me to retain the hull warranty but honestly at the end of the day I'm not overly worried about a used boat hull warranty if I save enough over a new one. People have been making modifications to boat hulls for years and given that Moomba added this as a factory option to the same model I'm pretty comfortable about doing it and potentially saving $15k over a new one.

As of now, AutoFlow is not available for any OBV. The only option is Flow, and the hull is fully warranted if it is dealer installed. It is possible to be warranted if it is self installed.

How does one pull that off? Get it inspected by a dealer after the install is complete?

All I would want is the FLOW, not worried about the AutoFlow, and this is good info. Care to share where you obtained this or if you know of anyone with personal experience?

Thanks,
Matt

I guess it depends on your relationship with the dealer. I am sure they could look at it and verify that it was done correctly. Who is to say that one of the certified mechanics didn't help you out. Just don't post on here that you did it yourself. ;)

Not sure if you are asking about AutoFlow or the warranty, but here is the flyer about the AutoFlow. It only lists the Mojo, Mondo, and LSV.

I meant where did you hear that a dealer will install/warranty a flow install on an older OBV? From the info I saw it was available for 06+ LSV's to my knowledge. Looking for a bit more info so if I call my local dealer and they play dumb I can reference something.

My dealer has an OBV with the Flow on it. It will fit 2009+ hulls. You might have to change or modify your swim platform if you do not have the surf one.

Really?? Is that Premier? I've been looking for someone with the Flow on an OBV to find out how well it performs.

Yes, Premier. It is a 2015. Still under shrink wrap when I was there last week. I can get pics when it goes in the showroom.

Can anyone take some measurements of the NG OBV for me? I took some of our current boat and want to see how it compares and the closest dealer is 2 hours south of me.

PM me if so, thanks in advance!

Sorry Matt, mine is tucked away in winter storage and not accessible. If you don't get what you need prior to Spring just let me know.

I talked to the dealer in Knoxville. Said he could install Flow on 2012 OBV for $2000......

You probably buy a lot more from him. I'm new in the Moomba family and didn't buy from the dealer.

Cost should be around 1400, the Flow costs apx 1K and then its 2-3 hours dealer install time. If you feel your getting gouged start calling other dealers and see what the going rate is. Then make an argument.
