Just bought 2012 OBV that has sun damage to the swim platform mat in the form of curled up edges. Any suggestions on how to repair? Emailed SeaDek and received reply that they do not have a kit for 2012 OBV. Any others out there you can order mat from? Haven't tried Moomba yet.

you could try some sheet traction from Agenda

you can order up a template kit from seadek and make your own template. Just because they haven't made (and have on hand a precut pad template) doesn't mean you can't get it! Quite surprised they didn't tell you that to keep a sale?

You could do the same with Hydroturf

They offered the template, but was afraid I would screw it up.

It's pretty straightforward. I wouldn't be too scared of the process. You can even use your old as a guide if you want. you can do a 3-piece or 1-piece depending on preference.

BTW, welcome to the forum!!! Make sure to post some pics of the new "baby".

Where do you launch? My son is a freshman at UK and I have been on the look-out for somewhere in the area and haven't seen anything yet...

Only body of water within 1.5 hours of Lexington is Herrington. Very close, but not very reliable water conditions. We drive south to Norris Lake in TN. Family has a house on the water near Tazewell with a dock/lift in front of it where my boat lives. Hard to pass up. The very few weekends we don't go south, we go to our friends place on Herrington.

I bought OVB from JasonZ who is a Moomba forum member. Haven't had it on the water since I test drove it on the James River in November. I'm getting itchy.

I just bought a sheet of Seadek and traced the old matt...had enough Seadek left over to replace all the traction peices on the trailer frame and fenders..

Mikenerhkhorn- . We have a place on beautiful Norris Lake in TN. It's a 2+ hour drive, but boat sits on dock/lift sits in 50 ft in front of house. Grew up going there and old habits are hard to break. Herrington Lake is closest to Lexington. Very convenient, but conditions not reliable if there has been a lot of rain. We go there with friends that have a place there on weekends we can't go south. Bought OVB from JasonZ and haven't been on the water since test drive on James River in November. Getting itchy!!!

We have a place on beautiful Norris Lake in TN near Tazewell. Boat sits under roof on lift in front of house. Grew up going there and love that lake. When we can't go south we go to Herrington Lake just south of Lex with friends who have a place there. It is a small river lake, but very convenient. Water conditions can be unreliable when it rains a lot and lots of traffic on nice weekends. Cumberland and Laurel 1.5 hrs south and Cave run 1 hr east.

Just finished my Seadek pad replacement. You guys were right, it was pretty simple. Now I need another project. (Pics)

On a 2012 that pad only lasted 3 seasons?!? Was the original also seadek (looks like seadek)? For as much as they charge for those pads it should last longer than that...

looks good skid! We can certainly help you with other projects and help spend some of your money that's for sure..LOL

You could also use the platform as bench bar seating until the season starts! It's already in the house.
