View Full Version : Anyone have a pair of Aerial 6.5" tower speaker pods they'd want to get rid of?

My XLV came with a pair of Aerial dual 6.5" tower speakers that had the Polks in them. I replaced those with the Kicker 6500.2 HLCD set. I would like to ultimately add another pair of the 6.5" midbass to make them the "six-pack" setup that a lot of people have done with the kickers.

I can find the mid-bass driver's pretty affordably, but the price of a new pair of pods is keeping me from making the upgrade.

So, I would imagine that a lot of you had boats that came with some stock Aerial tower speakers that you took off to upgrade to Exile or Wetsounds or whatever. If anyone has a pair of 6.5" tower speaker enclosures (preferably the ones that would fit the Rad-a-cage tower on my 2008 XLV) and they'd be willing to let them go for cheap, I'd be interested. I really don't need whatever speakers you might have in them. So I don't care if they're loaded or empty.

Anyway, I figured I'd put it out there since I'd imagine someone might have some tower speaker pods laying around that they'd be willing to hook up another Moomba forum member with...

For what it's worth, here's my current setup:

If you're not in a huge hurry keep an eye on h2osportswarehouse on eBay. They used to run some auctions during the winter. You may luck out.

These seem like the most affordable option if I am going to buy something new...
