Nice looking boat and welcome to the forum! Not too many Kamberra's on here - I know of only one. However my hull is basically the twin sister to yours so ask away with any other questions you have.

For a bimini you'll be hard pressed to find anything from a manufacturer for one this old - I'd suggest going custom made. Your tower does not look factory though - maybe find out who it's from and see what options they offer if any.

Trailers do occasionally pop up here and there so you're in the right place to help you find one!

Nice looking truck there too!

Thanks as far as I can tell the tower is factor. It has reinforced fiberglass behind all the mounting spots and has the moomba logo engraved in the side of it. I'm also looking for the plastic dash pieces...Guage mount, radio mount, fuse/switches mount. Know anywhere I can find them? The sun has changed the color. If I can't find them I might just paint them red.

I stand corrected. That vintage usually has the fugly rollbar style.

Are your plastics cracked/broken or just faded out? If just faded I'd suggest painting with SEM brand stuff. Will bring them back to life nicely.

They are faded/changed color and the plastic gauge mount is starting to crank where it holds the gauges. Where the radio mounts you can see where the factory color use to be a grey color and now all of it is brown (gauge mount, radio mount, switch panel, glove box door, and the speaker mounts/cup holders in the back)

SEM bran stuff??

Yep - SEM Color Coat. It's about $14 a can but well worth it.

I redid all of mine the spring of 2013 - they turned out great and have held up well so far. Doubt you'll be able to find replacement plastics. Mine is cracking a little around the gauges as well. I think an epoxy putty is your best bet. Shape it, sand it and paint over it.

your first two pics at the top of this thread are visible.

that said, I think once you reach a certain post count, you won't have that restriction. so post up and participate in a few discussions and you'll be well on your way.

Oh, and if that doesn't work, then like wave a beer in front of Berg and maybe that will convince him to do his job as a "super moderator".

Posts approved. Should be visible now. You need 5-10 before posts with beers get approved automagically,

With the SEM product no clear coat is required. It naturally has a semi gloss type finish. A solid cleaning with thinner (not mineral spirits) and several very light coats is the trick. I think a clear coat over the top would make it look cheesy.

I'd maybe take some photos of the plastics in the boat, then photochop them red on the computer to see what you think before you commit. See if you still like it or not so much. How much red do you have on the interior vinyl? Sometimes less is more.

I had a local shop in NorCal fab up a new Bimini for my old '01 and had the fabric go over the top of the tower and snap onto the rear tower bar. Loved that bimini.

If you have one made, go as far forward as possible, it helps out in the sun.

thanks bud. The only red I have is the little bit on the seats and then the red on the outside.

I kinda copied Eric's when I had mine made. My old rollbar tower doesn't go as far back though so thought of having the bimini extended off the back but the cost went up quickly due to extra hardware needed. Just snaps right to the tower.

Locally for me was $300 but I also had a cover done so the guy may have cut me a deal.

I would have liked for it to come a little further forward and maybe a little lower but I'm 6'3" and the shop talked me out of it plus they thought it would have needed an additional support bar or maybe straps which I did not want.

Next thing is to move these monsters somewhere else or buy new ones. They are all in the way when you get in the boat and everybody hits there heads on them. What yall think? I havent even heard them yet. How do they sound? They are REV8's

http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u375/bruer01/20141213_164704_zpsgshnvwwq.jpg (http://s1064.photobucket.com/user/bruer01/media/20141213_164704_zpsgshnvwwq.jpg.html)

Rev8's are good speakers and sound good when powered correctly.

Of course they are HLCD's so they will project to tow distances. Others similar options are the REV10 or XM9s but they are not going to help your head room on the tower as they are bigger. You could check out Bullet 770's as they will be the lowest profile option for projection HLCDs. Otherwise you can change main focus to coax speaker and then may different options there.

I would suggest moving them to a "safer" location -- like maybe further out on the tower over the seats where they are more out of the way or on the outside of the tower (assuming you like that look and don't have any issues with clearance).

Those speakers are the real deal. Don't change them. You'll agree when you fire them up. I have 4 on my tower. People just need to learn to duck. It's not a problem after awhile.
