Does anyone know which oil filter the Raptor 400 utilizes? The manual states 501021 but I can not seem to cross reference this anywhere.

Just hit 20 hours and need to do my first service.

Thank You

I use that filter in my truck and the local stores want double what the other filters go for so buy up on line and save you some bucks.

Anyone else able to confirm the oil capacity on the Raptor 400? I looked around and now I am more confused. The manual I downloaded from Indmar website for the 6.2 says 6 quarts but the comment above says 8. I had the dealer do the 20 hour service last year and when I asked why it was so expensive he said it took 9 quarts of synthetic.

I got 7.5 quarts out of mine last time. There was probably another 1/2 qt along the bottom.

bumping this old thread back to the top. My manual also says 6 quarts, but the overwhelming majority of people are saying it holds more. So how much is it?

Everywhere I've researched and also confirmed with my dealer, 8 quarts. I have the same boat as you.

The first year's manual for the Raptor engine had the oil capacity incorrectly stated at 6 quarts. The capacity in subsequent manuals was corrected to 8 quarts. Don't just dump in 8 quarts though. Put in 7, run the engine at idle for a minute or so then shut off and wait 5 minutes or so to let the oil drain back to the oil pan then check the oil level with the dipstick. Add oil to the full mark on the dipstick ... it may not take the full 8 quarts and that is OK!
