Mondo OZ HD Tower Base

Anyone else notice that the base of the 2015 Mondo OZ HD tower is different than the 2015 Mojo and 2015 LSV OZ HD towers? Curious as to why.

This is the 2015 LSV. I hadn't noticed the difference before.

My dealer has two 2015 Mondos in stock. Both of them have the same tower as last year (the same on the LSV above).

The Mondo pictured in my first post is from Club Royale in Waterford, MI. It is the boat pictured in the 2015 brochure. I just wonder if it was a one off design from XTP.

Probably the same situation as the gas cap in 2013. Some of the early production had the twist off cap and later boats in same model year got the flip up cap.

I believe that new base is there to accommodate the fold assist feature that you can opt for in the 2015s. You can have the regular OZ HD which is the same as last year or the new one with the fold assist. I think that's the difference and why the base is designed a little different when that particular tower option is chosen.
