I bought my boat secondhand. With the boat came a black board, made out of something like MDF. It is about 3' long and maybe 1' wide, has a crescent cut in one end. Does anyone know what this is for? Is it part of the factory mooring cover? I know my buddy has something like that on his Supra and it is something to do with the tower folding down and the cover.

Might be to support the tower when folded down.

That's exactly what it is... Its actually made of starboard which is plastic... One of those came with my 2008 LSV as well.

Do you have any pictures of it in use? I can't find anything in the manual that shows how to use it. I've Googled all sorts of variations on "Moomba Tower Support" and can't seem to find anything.

They are used for shipping the boats with the tower down and the plastic cover. You can find them in the dealer burn pile. They are handy for lowering your tower to get in/out of a garage.

I have to lower my tower here and there and would love to see how this is used. Anyone have a pic or two of it in use?
