Has anyone else ever seen QC like this on their Moombas? This is a 2006 LSV, i got it in late 2008 from the original owner i believe. I've been keeping quiet about this for a long time, just thought i'd like to point it out.. I sure hope SC has stepped up their game, because honestly.. I could never buy another one if it was made by the same staff. I mean, I love my boat, but these issues are pretty bad.

not centered ski locker (is this normal?)

Storage locker walls appear to be poorly handmade cutouts and poorly screwed together, the edges weren't even sanded smooth.

Floor panels that will not align because the whole floor is slightly out of alignment

back that shows how far out of alignment the floor is, they have to add another piece of fiberglass for the cover over the v-drive

Was my boat built on a Friday? Because with how much the original owner would of paid for this boat, no way I would of accepted it on delivery.. (maybe he never noticed?) other then the floor, I never noticed how bad it was until i started taking it all apart a few years ago. If i could of afforded a new boat I would of went that way in a heartbeat, but a used boat was and is my only option and used boats from Moomba aren't overly common around here.

I would love to know SC's opinion on this. ;)

Well 2006 was the first rear of that hull redesign. Still not much of an excuse but it may play into it somewhat. I know my 2008 doesn't have these issues with the ski locker not being centered and the floor not lining up. I have no idea about the storage locker walls since I have never taken them apart.

My 2007 had long screws in the bench seat that I replaced with shorter ones, they would poke into you knees when kneeling on the seat.

They recently started cutting all the plastic panels with a table CNC type thing, so I'd imagine that problem is fixed.

Your floor has to be a 1-off issue, I've never seen that.

I don't understand the "not centered ski locker" - left to right? It's hard to tell with it open, but if it isn't related to the floor panels being wonky I'd imagine it was an intentional design thing related to stringers or something.

That's the way mine looks. Think it's normal

That's the way mine looks. Think it's normalhrmm ok. I guess that is normal if you're is like that but the whole floor panel and rear Locker walls are pretty bad.

The floor locker is centered with the boat itself, not the helm and passenger seat. If you notice, the passenger side is actually on an angle.

Remember that new carpet is "fluffy" and tends to fill any gap. Unless you really are looking for things like that, it would be easy to miss. Older carpet mats down. Replace the carpet, and your problem is solved (kind of).

First year models of anything are like that. I see different years having different issues. In my year it was a separating windshield. Other years it was water in the locker. Some years it was trailer struts. You don't see nearly the issues that prevailed back in the 2002-2010 timeframe. The issues were inherit to many of the boats.

Gaps probably 2 inches without carpet

No chance a car would ever roll off an assembly line with defects like this. Even if it is first year. Why not build a boat. Look at defects and tweak the process before building thousands of boats.

Not even a cheap commuter car would. We're talking a $60k boat.
Seems insane.

I think there are more issues on new boat and cars than what we see. I saw this today:

http://finance.yahoo.com/blogs/hot-stock-minute/gm-warns-corvette-drivers-new-valet-mode-may-be-illegal-141232465.html

"It’s not necessarily good news for GM. Not only has the carmaker had more than 50 recalls this year, it's also struggling specifically with the Corvette. While it hasn’t issued a recall, it has issued a stop-sale order on some 2,000 new cars to fix an airbag issue. Another 800 are “on hold” to check brake cables."
