Hey guys, pretty new to this whole boat ownership. I purchased a 2005 Moomba Möbius back in May and this will be my first winter with it just sitting.... Kind hurts to watch her sit and not being able to have fun out on the water. I recently joined this forum just to see how easy it was to pull the floor to change a ballast hose. Thanks for that, you guys got me ordering all new audio (don't know what brand yet), ballast upgrade from GG1 to GG3, DIY LEDs all around the boat, and getting new rails for my seat maybe even make it swivel! If anyone knows where to buy new chair rails please tell me, mine are rusted and won't slide... The pictures are from the other day when I pulled the floor to take the chair off and install new ballast hose.

Yes, yes it does. And that part doesn't ever really go away! 2 words - garage boating.
Kudos for tearing into it yourself. For the seat rails you might look at Great Lakes Skipper. They have a ton of hardware on their site as well as eBay store.

I had pulled the floor to fix the seat and went ahead and pulled the ballast lines to the front ballast. I ordered some things off of wakemakers.com and it hasn't arrived yet. I got some new hose, a jabsco reversible pump (which I'm gonna need advice on wiring), and some things for LED mod I'm putting in. But reassembled the floor for one last weekend before winterization next week. While the floor was pulled I cut out the cooler... Any ideas on how to plug the drain?

reason to cut cooler? new bags, or just because it's scumy and gross?

I cut it out for the grimeyness. A drain plug won't work. It's too big...

Isn't the drain just a hose that goes to the engine compartment?

This is more than a hose...

Well yes it is. Sorry, my cooler had a side drain at the back wall. I just noticed yours is in the bottom. I would try to find a black plastic cap that you could screw over the hole.

Here is what I just did on my seat and I love it. Post #13 and #14 https://forum.moomba.com/showthread.php?24988-2007-XLV-swivel-seat-addition
This is what I did on cutting out my cooler.

as far as putting it away for the winter, it does suck, but get yourself a dry suit and keep going for a few more months :) That's what we do.

Got some goodies in the mail today but it was already to dark to go play but I did wire some lights up to see how my LEDs would look. They are going to be a nice add on at night. Got green lights to match the green in the dash which I like.
