I was going through some of my end of season checks... noticed a wire terminal on the v-drive that was not connected to what appears to be a pressure transducer.

I plan to reconnect this but wanted to confirm that it actually should. I could not think of any reason why this wire would be here and should not be connected. Can someone double check their boat and let me know. 345 Indmar, '12 Mojo

I have not noticed any performance issues or check engine light. Starting to wonder what good this sensor does....

That is the sensor for the v-drive low oil pressure warning light. On my XLV the light is mounted under the throttle control and is only lit when pressure is low or the rpms are under a certain level (I think 900).

Boone is right loan drive pressure sensor. Your light should be on at idle and then go out around 8-900 rpm. If it stays on then its a sign of low oil in your vdrive

I will have to double check tonight. I am thinking I have no light on at all. Probably because the sensor is not hooked up. For sure do not have a light beyond idle, not sure if the light has been coming on at idle.
