Found pics online of a 2015 OBV with the FLOW installed.

OK Wolfie,
Since you have been on that OBV with Flow, what did you think? How much ballast in that pic? Pocket looks a good bit longer than I can create, interested in your thoughts.

Drew -- got any better pics (from ground level) that you can share? Like Jeff (and probably many others) I'm very interested in your thoughts on the performance of the Flow as well.

I had always envisioned ponying up the $1000-1500 (or maybe more?) for the Flow but I gotta tell you unless it REALLY works well I think I will be leaning to the poor man's version (one of the ghetto gate knockoffs).

TIA

that's how far back from the boat we surf on my 2009 OBV.

3 people in boat, 400 in front, 750 in corner, 10 mph.

We didn't get too much time on that boat to play around with the ballast, but what I remember is that we were 100% stock with center & both rears full. I can't remember if I had the wakeplate in the correct position in that shot. I was trying to get the cruise set, etc and remember that 1/2 way thru the shoot I had the wakeplate down vs up. The wave got much better after I fixed that. :)

We didn't switch sides, and I haven't looked into the ease of doing this the ghetto gates, but it would be simple with the FLOW.

this picture makes me want to mount a stupid long pole on top of my tower and mount the gopro way up there.

If I could get a FLOW for the XLV my ghetto gate would be repurposed as a cutting board. I would love to have the ease of side to side changeover without storing my bulky ghetto gate.

Waiting for the "flow available for XLV thread". :)

looks to me that the new design of the swim platform really helps shape that wave. Look how the wave follows the angle.

Makes me wonder what the wave would be like with no swim platform.

question regarding the ghetto gate....can you trailer the boat with it on?

Plus one

I am all in on the xlv flow, come on sc its just the mounting plate not the action outer plate... should take an cad engineer 30 minutes.......

I rode the flow on a mondo and was very impressed.....

FLOW for XLV, Flow for XLV!!( repeat Chant!)

I am sure ther are 21/ 24 ft supras that would like a retro fit as well to improve the surf wave)

I trailer with the ghetto gate on with no issues. The biggest downside is not being able to drive past surf speed without removing. If you want to only do surf speed it can stay on indefinitely.
