Just saw the new SE 450. What a boat and with a MSRP $140,000 hope it is worth it. The factory rep said he has a new Mojo already and loves it, Mojo is still skiable where the SE is not, it is truly a wake boat.

Nicely done SC,one thing thou if you are going to copy some of Nautique's idea's,you should have also done the sea deck flooring and get rid of all that carpet,IMO very sharp, to big for me size wise and wallet stand point but well done Congrats Im sure it will be a hit.

wolfeman131

you don't have to get carpet.

i thought that sea deck flooring was awesome the first time i saw it. now, when you see it in photos, it kinda jumps out at you. plus, i think its glued down and not removable.

the new supra flooring is awesome. everything about that 2015 is amazing……except the price.

What are the other options Drew ? Are they gonna offer sea-deck flooring?

wolfeman131
08-19-2014, 10:59 PM
I don't think sea dek is going to be an option, but the kona mat will be and would be my choice.

sea dek would be my choice and you can always have it done on the aftermarket side of things. We had carpet in our SC for 2 weeks until the Kona arrived and it is much better as it wont hold much dirt or water, but it does get a bit slippery if someone is getting in your boat saturated (which annoys the shit out of me but theres always one.)

Since Kona "will be" your choice, when does your new SE arrive?

Is there a way to get 'kona' flooring after-market? I've googled it, and almost nothing comes up.

So are you one of those people who makes everyone dry off on the platform with a towel before boarding?

.
While most dry off with a towel, at the very least stand on the transom seat and get some of the water off you. My boat looked as good the day i traded it in as it did when i brought it home so obviously im doing something right.

Indeed!

It's a boat, what is water going to do that won't make it look as good as the day you bought it? Water dries. To each their own though.

People can bring in water but leave the sand where you found it. A good day on the water is a wet floor except my designated dry spot behind the driver. I need that for food and electronics. My boat doesn't mind water.

My boat gets wet when I wash it.

Then I dry it.

Then it looks better than before.

The least amount of water the better IMO. The more water i get on my seats, ends up in storage causing that wonderful musty smell. We keep our boat in dry storage and are out past closing most nights and have to cover the boat without letting it fully dry out even tho we have a few damp-rids in the boat

To each their own....no need to judge because its not your boat ;)

I can understand your point of view.

I am pretty anal about my bout and keeping it new looking all the time. When we sold our 08 there wasn't, a scratch or tear or mark in the interior.

We have our black lab and he is draging so much water in the boat it looks like a swimming pool sometimes.

What we do to keep everything nice is, Towels on the seats, and the rear deck. This protects his paws from marring the seats.

Also the towels catch a lot of water from people. Also at the end of the day we wipe everything down.

Each week at the end of the main boating days I spray all the storage area with 50% Distilled white vinegar, 50% water. This kills any mildew, stops spiders and deters other inspects from nesting in the boat.

Second that...

Well as long as there's 36 cupholders then I think I'm in! I mean you gotta have your standards.

If I were doing an SE I'd opt for the triple axle trailer. Probably not needed but what the hell! Looks cool. When you're dropping that kind of coin what's a few thou more?

When we built out house, someone kept saying that as the design center. Needless to say we did not opt for about $30K in options to the mtg. Just added those when we had the money over the past 12 years.
