Does anyone know where to get a taller riser tube. I would like to raise my drivers seat and was wondering if you can just get a longer tube anywhere?

By tube do you mean a pedestal?

I'd like to find a slightly taller one or even adjustable one. But mine is very short to begin with and haven't found scratch when I've looked.

Yes just the tube. I've looked just came up empty. With heavy weight and an ibs the nose is high even with the bolster folded it is still hard to see.

Gotcha. Most of the ones I've come across start at 12" height and go up for there. No bueno...

I need one as well. I am 6'3" but the wife is 5'6" and struggles to get good visibility. And you know what that means for me = shorter sets behind the boat.

raise the bolster & put your throwable flotation device on top of it.

I sit on my throwable flotation device as said above.

Anyone else driving usually likes the throwable - I don't. I may just add some aluminum rails between the base and seat to give it a lift. Adjustable would be nice though...

In hindsight I REALLY wish I would have sprung for an aftermarket seat with Bolster in it prior to the new upholstery job...

would those ajustable ones be a bolt in thing or do ya think there would be some fabricating going on on to make them fit?

Would you mount this to the fiberglass base or cut a hole in it and mount it to the floor? I would love to put an adjustable one in. I sit on the cushion as well.

Hey everyone ... I picked my new boat up in February and after the 4th trip out doing the engine break-in the wife was not happy with the seat height.

So to ensure my happiness and mainly to keep my wife happy I swapped it out with the following and cut 3" off of it with my power cutter:

Garelick 75530 12" Anodized Ribbed Seat Base

These guys have it for $59, I paid $80. http://www.boatersland.com/grl75530.html

Cutting and swapping out took about 30 minutes.

Works great and no more sitting on legs, pillows, towels, etc ... The nice thing is you can leave at 12" or cut down to your liking.

I tried the 12" height and it's wayyyy too high, so we found cutting it down to nine inches was good for both of us.

Just remember to measure, measure, measure, and cut once or make incremental cuts until you get the right height.

By the way, the adjustable one starts at 12" and goes to 17", so it would not be an option.

Our bolster smashes down and it looses its height somewhat from compression I also use the throwable but my wife needs a little more height she's short. lol

What was the seat base like before? love to see some pictures.

It's the same exact base and tube as what came with the boat; just taller.

No mod required, just cut down the height and screwed it in.

Garelick is the brand that came with the boat.

It was real easy to cut and swap out.

I didn't take a before and after shot; but, going out tomorrow and I'll lift the seat off and take a pic; but, it looks like a factory pedestal.

Ok, then it is very different from my 07 LSV seat.

Currently away from boat. What is the height of the stock riser?
