Hour Meter Flashing - 2008 XLV

Does anyone know what it means when the hour meter is flashing/blinking? Going down the lake the hour meter blinks every 2-3 seconds. The correct hours are flashing and the unit is still working and the tach is working correctly.

I hate to pull the boat out and trailer it to the dealership if it is something simple.

The meter should blink when the engine is running.
