need a spare tire mount

I have an 05 Outback and I'm about to order a spare tire and the mount, anyone have any recommendations for a mount? I've read where some won't fit the moomba trailers.

got mine on line with overtons. its galvanized but with the tire on and a tire
cover on it does not stand out

You can purchase a bolt on spare mount from BoatMate that is painted to match your trailer. Call 865-273-1100 and ask for Stacy Buchanan.

If you buy one from Overtons or Ski Limited, or a local boat shop, make sure you get one that is tilted out a bit so the tire clears the bow....

There will be a difference if you have a single axle trailer or tandem. The single axle uses a 6 lug wheel that will not fit on a standard spare mount that you normally see. Also, the standard one would not go over the trailer frame. I found this out the hard way on my 05. My plan is to order one from boatmate so that it will fit. Sounds like others have had luck from Overtons, so maybe there is one out there that will fit.

My 03' single axle pattern is 5 on 4 1/2. I think these vary quite a bit.

I just ordered mine from boatmate. I spoke with Stacy and total price including a color matched trailer bracket and the same wheel and tires for right at $200.

You would have to ask as I saw the wheels in the Overton's printed catalog from a few months ago but when I looked them up on the internet it didn't provide as much products which is weird. I would try to hunt down the catalog, call them with an accurate description of your wheel or email me and I'll scan the page for you.

I stand corrected. Overton's did not list the tire mount for the 6 hole wheel. Sorry about that Silver.

I received and installed my spare last evening that I ordered from boatmate. It looks great. Same wheel and the bracket is painted the same color as the trailer.

Give them a try. Pretty good price.
