That wave doesn't look good, maybe one of the others can give some advice. Seems way to fast and more weight on Surf side, probably start at 9 and work up to 11?

You need to stand up with equal weight on both feet..

If you check my youtube channel there's lots of Surf videos..

11.1 mph is fine for the Mojo, but you need the right ballast setup. For regular, 1,100 full on surf side, 370 under port seats, off side at least 1/2 full, center tank full and IBS full. Wakeplate 75-100% up.

I am all the above except no 370 added port
That may be what I'm missing
It is much better with two adults on port

Looks like you're pretty far back in the wave pocket, less push back there. Also, stand up taller and use 2 hands on the rope...I'm exhausted just watching you..plus I bet your arm is burning. Finally, remember your front foot is the gas pedal and your rear foot (right) is the brake. Try shifting at least your front foot (left) more forward on your board if not both feet slightly more forward. It's a constant shifting/leaning of weight forward and aft on your board and fine tuning foot position.

at the very least - if the driver isn't the videographer - get that person to sit on the surf side!!!

1st thing I would suggest is to pull yourself into the wave instead of staying on top of it and the majority of your body weight is over the center of the board - and yes it does look like your going way too fast.

Lean forward on the board means you're on the gas
Lean back and you're on the brakes.

if you lean way forward (toward the boat) you will eventually accelerate all the way to the swim platform. If you stay leaned back (away from the boat) you will fall out of the wake completely. mix the two together to stay where you want in the wake.

Everyone seemed to sum it up but I will add also , drop your speed it will be easier for you,you can also crouch and touch the wake with your rear hand to help with your balance .

"crouch and touch the wake with your rear hand to help with your balance . "

I always thought touching the wake with your rear hand was to look cool :)

You are doing pretty well. Hard to tell from the quality HD video but I think you need to move your front toes closer to the wake.

Move my feet closer to toe side edge?

carefull now, lets not unintentionally confuse anyone.

"hang 10" is 10 toes hanging over the nose of the board. Something usually done on a pretty heavy long board.

IMHO, the stance was to wide -as Kane suggested, your front foot is to far forward.

Not what I said at all. Here's some advice: if you are over 180 lbs. don't take too much surfing advice from a guy who's a buck thirty soaking wet. You'll have to stand on the front of the board pretty good to stay in the wake. You are doing that most of the time. All I suggested was moving your toes (really your whole foot) closer to the wake (toe side edge) of the board. Because the wake is on an angle underneath the board you need to be over wake not air.

What Drew said. 370 or equiv. weight is a must. I use the 370 and still like to add the 2 fly high bricks at 150 each if its just me and the wife. Mojo needs lots of weight surf side. Also slow it down to 10.3 to 10.5

Added 370 last week, wake is much better. I may add another on top of seats

I am 225 all day long... I found that I must move forward on the board to get push.

I'm 215-220 most of the time. I have never put my back foot against the kick pad or my front foot more than about 16" from the front of the board (without stopping dead in the water).

I'm 6'2 255. Its all about the board... A good board with proper fin setup and a decent wave and you don't have to have all your weight forward. In fact you should be evenly weighted on the board. I will say when I first started my front quad would always be on fire from having to much weight forward.

Cwb ride doesn't work for me
Riding a broadcast skim,
Want an p5 x.
I can tell I need a better board, or one that fits me well

Grab you a couple of the 150 bricks with handles. You can make adjustments on the fly and they don't take up much room.

In my post Boston Marathon training, I'm up to 160 lbs and my favorite board is the Inland Surfer Blue Lake Graphite.

My rear foot is always against the hump and my front foot is about 2 feet in front and I'm centered on the board.

The front foot is constantly moving around to adjust to what is happening under me.

Semantics. When someone says "wake", I equate that with the what is pushing you.

Pat, If memory serves, I think I was giving you advice when my wife ran over the tow line LOL!

Why in the world did we have the rope out that far anyhoo?

Kaneboats ended up towing me to shore :)

Yea, that was my first day getting up on a surf board (nailed it first try as I recall). Still have no idea how the rope got up in there.

Hey, Smorris7, at 255 what the heck board are you riding anyway????????

Yea, as you know, T and I used to teach people (who could get up on a wakeboard) how to get up on their surfboards using the wakeboard rope and at a distance (away from the boat) they were used to.

Something caught her attention and she zoomed right over the rope. Rope was so tangled up, the dealer had to make repairs to the shaft bracket.

Honestly I can ride just about anything. What I normally ride is a Triple X Slayer Pro 5' and Ronix Parks Carbon Thruster,
IS Black Pearl and Sweet Spot. The only one I have really had trouble with is the Triple X Skim 4'6. I think that one might be a little small for me... Although I can ride it pretty good behind my buddies G23.
