Hey everyone. Been a while since i was on the forums.

06 Möbius LSV

Shaft was leaking bad when I came in yesterday and I didn't notice. It started to rain 4 hours later so I went to cover boat. There was about 4-6 inches of water in hull. Hit the bildge switch and nothing. No light. Hit the reset light and light came on but no bildge.

Used the pump for my ballast bags to drain and tightened the shaft. Stopped the water for now.

But the bildge won't come on.

Is there another fuse beside the resetable one at switch?

If I need to replace the bildge, how do I remove it? How do I disconnect it from the hull?

This appears direct replacement. Do I need to cut wires or will it just be plug and play? Can't see if there is a harness included.

Any discounts available at skidim?

Does it turn on when you twist the knob on the side? Usually it gets stuck and doesn't turn on automatically. Open it and clean it, but it happens a lot with that pump style. I add a second pump to solve that..

Turned the knob. Just soundes like a flap. Never turned on.

Pop it out of its mount base using a flat head screw driver or strong fingers and see if impeller is jammed, carpet fibers sometimes get in there. Mine broke and I got it at Wally World, and swapped the pumps into the mounts and spliced the power cords.

I *may* have found one locally at Canadian Tire.. I will check to see if they have it in stock tomorrow.

Make sure the circuit board is plugged into the back of the switch. Mine comes undone when tubing really hard. I have to reach from the back along the gunnel to push it back on. The auto switch works but not manual when this happens

would that explain shorts? hrmm.. but manual and auto are not working on mine,.

we were tubing and hit a few good bumps.

take it apart and hook to a 12 v battery and see if it works. I use my jumper pack all the time to test things.
The Wal-Mart one had cut wires no harness, plus that harness does not match what SC uses, the deutch plugs

I went through this last year and replaced mine. I used to know where to order the triangle plug from but I cant remember at the moment. I redid mine and shrink wrapped all the new wiring with my heat gun. Note: Make sure when you install the new one to get it at the lowest point in the hull to help with the water.

Thanks, was going to shrink wrap it... since getting a new plug probably wont be possible in time.

the above link has the triangle plug as well. SC uses the square two pin.

btw, repair was quick and easy... remembered how bad I am at soldering. the heat shrink made it look good though..

note: know what took down the old bilge? it sucked up a piece of plastic of some sort... burned itself out auto bilging overnight.

Heat shrink makes us all look like pros! (Except for the guy who set the soldering iron down on the seat and burned a hole through it.)

i made sure to take everything i needed outside the boat on the picnic table.. and still did it on a chunk of extra wood

I always brought a cardboard box in the boat with extra card board inside to make the soldering iron stays in the box or above the box, plus one on heat shrink.

Glad it was a fairly straight forward fix.

Well, I had a "matt" down and then bumped the cord, twisted the iron right off the matt and smelled the result.
