New to me 2000 Outback LS

Hey,
Just wanted to make my first post and let the world know I have a new to me 2000 Outback LS. Absolutely love it, done some basic work to it so far. Replaced the raw water pump, picked up 800 lbs of ballast, replaced all the speakers, installed 2 amps and a 10" sub. Just purchased a new aluminum tandem axle trailer as the one it was on was garbage. Been hitting it big, and just tried wake surfing for the first time this weekend. Best time ever! Still, wake boarding is my addiction!

About 8 hours and I have managed to get out the most extreme oxidation and shadowing from previous decals that I have ever seen!

Step 1: (twice) aggressive compound and polish with adjustable speed polisher (compound application head)
Step 2: high gloss polish with polisher (polish head)
Step 3: (twice) hand wax

Turned out really well, just doing basic "chores" while waiting for my new tandem axle trailer to be delivered in about 8-10 days.

And just for the record that 8 hours is me only completing one side. The oxidation was beyond belief. The previous owner really didn't take care of it like he should have...

New owner, time to give her the respect she deserves! Lol

What ballast did you get and where did you put it on the OB? I have an 03 and wondering where I could put some ballast and what sizes to get?

2000 Moomba outback love the boat but have ? has anyone had problems with it getting heavy in the front I heard these take on water in the ski locker and it gets stuck in the bow of the boat is there anyway to prevent this from happening again

Sounds like you need led's. Underwater and in the boat.

Hey, to answer a few of the questions. I got the fly high 400lb bags and I run them in the back by the back seat and I have the IBS in the bow.

On to the problem of the boat taking rollers over the bow. It can happen very easy, you just have to make sure you have a solid bilge pump if it happens because it will take in A LOT of water if it happens. I haven't had an issue with water actually getting stuck in the bow portion of the bilge but I normally crank it up pretty high when I store it so I can get all the water out of the bilge in general.

Got my new trailer in! I'll have better pictures when I get home, away for the next 2 weeks for work! Tows like a dream, can't wait to get back. Planning a trip to Lake Gaston.
