Well the weather smartened up for one evening anyways... and I was able to get out and do some surfing. I have my IBS bag tied into my centre bag. So 750s in rear lockers, floor hard tank full and ibs full. Flow all the way down, wakeplate all the way up and off we went. Regular side wave cleaned up a little better than the goofy wave but I was happy with both sides... especially with only 250lbs of people ballast in the boat. And the best part was my buddy who had never driven a surf boat was able to drive comfortably!! Not leaned way over ... 30 seconds to switch sides and good waves all around.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/26/nu8ygupa.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/26/barudade.jpg

I am gonna play around with the extra bags I have and see what I do.. an extra 400lbs on the surf side may help out as well.

First impressions are good for me..

Looks good, that goofy wave you need to slow it down a little, or drain a little out of regular to clean it up. Other wise looking good.

or how bout ad weight to the surf side? haha more ballast!!! and ya after this pic i got him to slow down to 8.8 on the cruise and it cleaned up way better. I need to check the speedo against a gps because i think its slow.

I will try to take pictures today of my wake without the flow. I finally downloaded a gps app and realized my speed was off by a couple of mph so I have the wave looking better. I do wish I had the flow. It takes a while a while to go from goofy to regular with those 900's. That regular side looks amazing to me though. I am thinking of trying to ride that way today (if the rain holds off). Why is it when I take a friday off to board it decides to cloud up? I blame the weatherman... They have some dice in the morning and roll them and what ever shows up they run with it.

Yup more weight is always good in my book, yea I would think your Paddle wheel calibration is off a bit. When you get wash on the wave like that its typically going to fast and the boat is flattening out.

20235 this is from my mondo with 3 adults and 2 small kids. Stock ballast. Now I need to figure out how to stay in the sweet spot. Also are you guys finding any damage, boat or board, by taking off from the platform?

Why would you want the platform off?

He doesn't want the platform off, he wants to start off of the platform.

Drew,

So you don't get wet!
Or it looks/is "cool"

With the boards that you and your family use, it would just crush the boards. With a compression molded board it is possible to start from the platform and not have the board be crushed.

I bought a phase 5 trident.....is that compression moulded? I think it's carbon fibre,or at least looks like it.

It is a carbon fiber board, however I would not personally start off the platform with that board...mainly because of how expensive it is. Most phase five boards won't get damaged from starting from the platform. It can be a little sketchy to start from the platform, and you always run the risk of shoving the board into the transom of the boat. When you kick the board into the transom you can crack the noise of the board, and scratch your gel coat....sad day

So we were out yesterday and I found that with 2 people in the boat (approx 325lbs total) I needed to dump out about 100-200 lbs to get the goofy wave to clean up.. regular is fine with both sides full. When we added one more person the goofy wave cleaned up with everything full

Do you normally run both rears 100% full when using the Flow? I have only been out 3 times so far ... but the first two days we ran 100% on the surf side and 100% in the center. 0% on the non surf side.

Today I tested it out with the Flow on the 3rd setting and the non surf side at 50%.

I am still getting a rooster tail off the Flow ... is that normal?

Rooster tail is normal. .. I run everything full except I dump out a couple hundred lbs on the non surf rear bag

Looks great ... what speed are you running? And is your Flow on the 3rd setting? Wake plate up, half or down?

Thx. Just trying to dial mine in.

Spent about 3 hours out there tonight trying to get it setup. Going to post a vid in a sec.
