Hey gang, I've been looking for and making drawings of bimini tops and extensions since last season and finally came up with an idea I liked. Took it to a top builder in my region and this is what I got.

Of course, I can never upload an image to this forum so I have provided a link with some pictures. If you're thinking about more shade, this is worth a look.

That is pretty slick! Very nicely done.

BTW - says sharing is restricted on your account. Maybe do some tweaking on your Flickr setup and then you can be a cool kid like the rest of us and use the BB Code for in-line images!

Hey, thanks for the assist there. Never occurred to me to use inline code.

Yea, I really wanted a top that was low to the boat to improve coverage but didn't want to give up access from a dock. We'll see how well this thing works in the real world of wind and waves.

I'm looking into making a bimini.if I can get someone to build the frame I'm going to get a buddy to do like a zip on or snap on cover for it.I wanna make something like a Z bimini right above my speakers and a little longer as well

Is that the cargo rack bimini? I thought hard about one of those.

That's trick. Is it a two piece top? Also, how does it fold up for storage?

Yup, two pieces. The original top that covered the driver and spotter and the extension that covers the rest of the cockpit. They zip together. Here's a picture of it packed up and ready to hit the highway.

If I want to take it all the way off I can pull some pins and the frame comes away too.

You have a link to where I can get one? That's nice!

Slick as can be. Now you need the wake jack rope extender thingy.

No link, I took it to Pacific Canvas in Oceanside, CA. They don't have a lot of experience with wake boats, they do sail boats and fishing boats mostly. I walked them through the design and we did an inspection half way through the build to make sure it was going the right direction. I had to order the tower tube clamps myself and have them use them rather than drilling into the tower frame.

I think the top might be low enough to stay out of the rope. Will find out this weekend.
