If you figure it out, i have a cracked one as well. How are these removed/replaced, hopefully without having to remove the windshield to replace this?

I had to have that vent cover replaced on my 2003 - under warranty thank god. My dealer told me that in order to replace it, the windshield had to be removed.

Hope that is not the case for you.

My Son Stepped on Mine this Weekend, taking down the Bimini! It was already cracked but now it's gone. I got mine at Atlanta Marine for about $15.00 if I remember correctly. I have tried to get different screw driver aparati in there but I think the windshield will have to be lifted. Anybody ever done that? How difficult?

I took the windshield out on my outback a few years back. Piece of cake but a little time consuming and bending involved crawling under the dash. Disconnect the battery before starting. Lots of wires and connections under there. Don't want a metal tool falling where it shouldn't causing new issues.

The black plastic vent cover part #104866 (Drivers side) is $20.44. I had to order one since someone stepped on mine and broke it last week. Talked with Steve at Atlanta Marine 678-482-6499. He ordered it while I was on the phone with him and said I should have it in OR within 4 days. This was for a 2010 LSV.

Where can I find these covers for a 2003 lsv? Both of mine are cracked. Also, how are mine removed?

I stepped on mine on my Outback while I was fitting my homemade over the tower bimini. I felt it crack and got off that foot. The piece was hanging there so I used krazy glue to stick it back together. Was still holding two years later when I sold it.

Mine are just ugly, probably cracked from sun damage. Would like to atleast remove them and paint them. How do you remove them? It seems like they just pop up, but I dont want to break them.

I have not pulled mine off yet, but in looking at my 2010 LSV, there are 4 screws (one in each corner). I have a flexible gooseneck bit for my drill, so I believe I will be able to get behind the steering helm and reach the 2 screws that are inside the windshield. The other two are exposed outside. I am in hopes I can just slide what is left out the front and slide the new one back in and tighten all screws. If that doesn't work, then the windshield has to pop off (which I would rather not do).

Given these are plastic, they should have a support piece that runs down the middle. Or, better yet, make them out of metal so they don't break so easily.

On my boat the windshield definitely does not have to come off. It doesnt go under like yours. Sorry the threadjack, was hoping someone could answer this while we are on the topic.
