Trying to find a good way to mount a 12" sub in my 06' outback v. I temporarily hooked up a standard truck box under the helm but it doesn't fit anywhere very well. Was thinking of mounting something on top of the cup holders or maybe a custom box which contours the support hump and just let it sit there, but don't know if I could make a box strong enough with a "handle" shape, if you will. Any suggestions or photos of your outfit? Thanks......J.

What's in the hump for, or more importantly, what's it for. Strength, support, right?

on my supra 20ssv, which is similar to the outback v, it was a footrest and a place for the factory to mount the kenwood 10" sub that was stock. I have a stereo thread from 4-5 years ago showing it being removed. it was easy and allowed a lot of room for a 12" jl box.
was nerve racking cutting fiberglas on what was a 2 year old boat :)
