Hey yall, wanting to check out Eagle Mountain Lake this week as Lewisville and Grapevine continue to suck wind.. Any of you DFW guys familiar with Eagle Mountain?

Never had good luck at eagle mountain, it's very wide open and there are no coves. I prefer lake worth if you're trying to do any watersports. Weekends are busy on both though.

We did EM a lot last year when LV started becoming a forest. We liked it for something different. There isn't a whole lot to it, but we'll be back this year. The water was also much better than LV. We'll also hit up Joe Pool. I've never been there, but it is the same distance for us as EM and is only about 1' low.

I think this is just a routine expedition. Prolly be a lot of floating and such. We will be using Lake Worth for the skiing / boarding, but Eagle Mountain for "coving"
Thanks to no rain we are having to get used to new venues this year.

Ha! Hanging 10 on the wakeboard! That went great up until the attempt at dismount to barefoot!
