Hi guys, anyone here local to the DFW area know how Lake Worth is looking right now? I cannot find anything on line about open boat ramps. The air show is this weekend and we were thinking of watching from the water. Any help is appreciated!

Ramp under 820 is good. Lake worth is somewhat of a constant level lake being it by law can't get any more than 4ft low. I think it's 3.5 ft low now but the ramp by 820 is nice and you should have no trouble launching there, we have been for the past few weeks. I had no idea the air show was this weekend, might have to check it out if the guys at Dallas ski boats can get me fixed up quick.

Don't you have to have a permit or something to go onto LW?

Brandon is a good guy, he took care of me in the off season.

Yep the one off of cahoba rd. there's a yearly permit sticker you put on ur trailer. It was 20 or 25 bucks if I remember correctly and you have to pay with cash. You can get them at the Navajo burger joint/gas station right there off 820.

Not sure exactly what the issue is. My guess is the fuel pump went out but I haven't had time to really investigate too much. I was pulling a rider and it kinda sputtered and lost power. I shut it off, cranked it back over and ran rough for a couple seconds then died. After that it wouldn't stay running. Similar symptoms to when I've had fuel pumps go out on vehicles in the past so that's my best guess. Whatever it is I hope it's covered under warranty.

Ok... thanks for the info... so it is a trailer sticker. I better get one as it seems Lake Worth might be my best option this year.

I may need the tip up from you about where it is safe to wander or not as I have never boated there.

I don't know???

I know you used to. I'm not sure what you have to do now as I've never actually put in on Lake Worth.

This was from 2011:

Section 18-4 Boat Ramp Use Fee. (a) It shall be unlawful to use the boat ramps at Arrow S and Casino Beach Parks without a valid boat ramp use sticker affixed to the trailer of the boat, as directed by the City. A person shall pay the required fee to acquire a boat ramp use sticker from the City or the City’s designee. The boat ramp use fee(s) shall be as follows:

Non-residents of the City of Fort Worth $20.00
Residents of the City of Fort Worth $15.00

From what I can find, it looks like you can get them here:

Casino Beach Mart
7601 Jacksboro Hwy
Fort Worth, Texas 76135
817.237.5101

Navajo Burgers
7028 Navajo Trail
Fort Worth, Texas 76135
817.237.9992

Again, I don't know if this is still the case or not.

It's really not a very big or deep lake. I haven't encountered any unmarked hazards yet but I have been told that you do not want to go north of the 199 bridge.

Back when I fished, I read stories on TFF about crazy people who lived on the lake that would chase you out of the coves with firearms because they thought they owned them. Maybe they are north of the 199 bridge..??
