Meh, it's ok.... :p

JK - looks great! That is until you guys started spilling beer and oil all over it.

BTW - love the green with gray accents of your LSV. Beautiful boat.

Is the old carpet just cut behind the seat base and the new tucked under?

^Same question...Newty, where are you located? This looks amazing, but I've never worked with carpet, kind of nervous to tackle it.

I cut the carpet at the base, peel it all out then lift the base enough to tuck the new carpet in, little more involved then that, but yes. Thinking of tackling it before the jam? If not I'll walk you through the process when I see you. Yours may be a bit harder with the carpeted bases.

Whoa whoa whoa stop the clock! Before any of you listen to him or ask him for advice check and see how many beers deep he is before you elicit a response. The guy drives a dodge and gets his jeep stuck in the sand at the beach like a rookie with the tide coming in so he obviously makes bad decisions. Actually I am kidding about all of this. His work speaks for itself and believe it or not he is actually a really good guy. I just can't pass up an opportunity to bust his balls and I don't want him to get a big head!

Can't wait for summer!

He's just mad I wouldn't take "favors" as payment for work on his boat...

Lake Goodwin up by Seattle. My wife's family has property there and it is where we got hitched.

Has anyone investigated or heard of anyone actually replacing the carpet with Hyroturf or similar? I have seen posts from someone who did it in the ski locker but what about the whole thing? I like the idea of not having wet carpet and being able to wash down with a hose and towel. Certainly would change the look of the interior, but if I'm not mistaken new Centurions (and maybe the new MC's) don't come with carpet.

I was thinking the same thing, mine needs done and would definitely rather do that then carpet.

I want to do this at some point. My brother in laws x1 is likely going to be the boat I do.

Yeah Grant does sick work. I remember a few years back he built a box for his tower speakers modeled after a Ferrari Enzo front end. His boat was also the first one I had seen with led's in the cup holder's. He also added a Flip down bow light like on Malibu's and if I remember right it was even power. Just way too much stuff to list but always impressive stuff.

Grant's is the red Nautique down in the thread by the way.

Hey, what carpet did you guys use? The Syntec Aggressor or the Corinthian or something else? What color matches '08?

Thanks,
John

Just roll your boat down to Newty and he'll make it look better than factory! Monroe's only a few hours and you won't find anyone who does better work.

It's a good suggestion, but it's stupid easy to pull the floor out on the XLVs and the carpet doesn't go under the seats so it's pretty easy to replace. I have the floor unscrewed right now anyway.
