I am getting at least one, and possibly two ACME 4-blade props. The 1873 and a 1615 and may be able to put together a group buy if there is enough interest.

I am still gathering the particulars, ($$) and should have more information tomorrow.

Anyone interested?

I worked with Eric on this, I will be posting all the info on a Wake Makers group buy. It's ready all you have to do is punch in the code and spend money.

I will post all the info later today.

Might want to team up with the Nettles group buy instead of a separate one......maybe more of a discount??

Yeah, seems like we have two going on at the same time, nettles and wakemakers. Seems like we could merge and get a better discount. I'm in for one.

Eric as in Eric Miller,

No this is a separate and combined group buy.

Nettles wants a list of how many, who and you have to all buy at the same time.

I worked with Wake Makers to set up a discount code, you just place an order, get the 15% discount and done. You don't have to have 1-5-15 buyers.

I like to keep it simple for my peeps.

Why do they have the OBV listed as a DD boat?

Why do they have the OBV listed as a DD boat?

Honest answer is IDK LOL.

But they have the LS listed from 04-08 with different props.
Then the OBV listed from 02-03 and then 06-14

Maybe it has to do with different HP engines? I really don't have an honest answer lol.

The new 2079 arrived today. Tons of clearance between hull and no issues with trailer clearance. Water testing with 4000lbs of ballast tomorrow.

Got my new acme installed today. Due to boredom and general OCD, I even went through the lapping process with the install. Was surprised to see that without doing it, only had 30-40% contact. After about 20 mins of lapping, was around 90%. Not sure if it really makes a difference, but slid in place nice and locked right in. I've never done it before, but saw another post with a nice tutorial. Also, used a rental puller from autozone which worked like a charm.

What, you can rent a puller from autozone?

AutoZone rents tools. My guess is that the puller is a universal style puller.

Whats a lapping process?

You use lapping compound to show the contact area and file the key until you have a large contact atea

It's a process of fitting the prop to the shaft. Apparently it's a good idea for a tapered shaft like we have. I had never done it before, but was pretty simple and you can get everything from napa for less than $10.
